Great location, nice staff, simple rooms

Location was great, close to the centre. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. However, the shower’s water flow was very limited so taking a proper shower wasn’t really an option.

Hotelværelset var rigtigt fint og levede op til billederne på Expedia, men servicen fra personalet var skuffende. I beskrivelsen stod der, at receptionen var tilgengængelig i åbningstiden, men receptionen var lukket efter, at vi ankom. Når vi forsøgte at tage kontakt til hotellet via telefon blev telefonen ikke taget, og vi fik kontakt igennem samtaleanlægget, men vi blev med irritation og vrede. I Expedias beskrivelse stod der også, at morgenmad og parkering var tilgængelig, men der var hul i restaurantens tag, så morgenmad var ikke mulig, og der var kun et begrænset antal parkeringsbilletter med rabat til rådighed, og dem havde andre gæster reserveret på forhånd.

Great location and friendly service.

Very good location - super central. Especially good location for gay travellers, as it’s in the middle of all the gay venues (10 min walk both sides). It was a bit expensive considering it’s condition, but the room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Service was friendly.

Gute Lage - gutes Essen

Das Hotel ist an vorzüglicher Lage gleich beim Neumarkt mit guten öV-Anbindungen. Es wird von sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal geführt. Offensichtlich wird das schon ältere Gebäude allerorts etwas renoviert. Hervorragendes Frühstücksbüfett und gutes Essen im Restaurant.

Except for one thing, it was really good, and the one thing has nothing to do with the hotel itself but with you, Hotels.com: Despite what was written in your email, I was charged before I arrived at the hotel, which, apparently, was a source of inconvenience, since I usually pay in cash. It should not have happened, and you should stick to your promises to your clients.

O hotel é decepcionante. O primeiro ponto a se observar é que o hotel não é acessível, não dispondo de elevador ou rampas de acesso. O acesso aos quartos é feito através de uma escada estreita. Os quartos são acarpetados e com cheiro de cigarro, pois não há distinção entre fumantes e não fumantes. O hotel está localizado próximo a bares e restaurantes o que torna os quartos orientados para a rua bastante barulhentos. O hotel também não tem estacionamento como o anúncio faz crer. O estacionamento disponível é um estacionamento público pago próximo ao hotel.

Le wifi est limité en volume selon le nombre de nuitées. Le minibar juste à côté du lit à débrancher pour la nuit ;-) mais un petit hôtel très bien situé et calme. À l'ancienne avec une porte (sans réception) et une vrai et clé qui donnene l'impression d'être un habitant de la ville. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester le restaurant italien qui fait partie de l'hôtel mais il avait l'air très bon. Personnel sympa.

Great location, small hotel but bad facilities.

Perfect location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice spacious clean rooms. However, wifi was almost unusable at most times, the shower barely worked and wasn't fixed after I reported it, three floors with no lift, flickering lights in the entrance gave the impression that the hotell is not really being looked after.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August & found the hotel to be very central to all the sites but nicely tucked away on a side street so it wasn't too noisey. It was very hot in Cologne & the lack of air-con meant the room got very hot but a fan was supplied & it made it manageable. The room itself was fine, with a mini-bar, tv etc. The breakfast each morning was good with both continental & cooked food available. We will happily stay here again if we are in Cologne. There is a restaurant next door that did nice evening meals & a lovely local bar around the corner with lots of characters for a fun drink after dinner
