Everything at the Galle Face was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and made our honeymoon extra special - beautiful room and a congratulations cake! We booked the honeymoon retreat spa treatment which was fantastic and incredibly relaxing. We thorough enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again in the future

Bedroom was in poor condition, the air conditioning didn't work overnight, the windows were sealed, the mattress was not comfortable, being hard and feeling the metal springs. Hotel is a nostalgic look back in history and service levels are quite high.

A beautiful old hotel that I have stayed in since I first came to visit Sri Lanka in 2009. It has remained one of my favourite hotels in the world. The service is always impeccable, the food delicious, and the views spectacular. It is very convenient and walkable to many different shopping centers, restaurants, and interesting sites. I highly recommend it.

A place with history, nice architecture. Very nice room with direct ocean facing window. Can open windows and stay off-aircon with fan. Nice small private beach and seawater pool to swim. Unfortunately the LED lighting in the rooms has flicker/strobe effects (reason is the cheapo ac/dc converters built into asian consumer grade lights), this has a subtile stress effect.

A glorious stay at Galle Face Hotel

We stayed at Galle Face Hotel in a junior suite on a BB basis and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is child friendly, the staff helpful and efficient, the rooms spacious and well stocked with toiletries and tea/coffee, the breakfast buffet was delectable with a variety of Sri Lankan, continental and English breakfast options, the salt water pool was divine and the beach front views and the sound of the waves was calming to the senses. We felt like we were in paradise. The b’fast, lunch and dinner buffets were all excellent. Loved every minute of the stay.
