The food was amazingly good (breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets). A lot of choices and service great as well. Yasiru made us very welcome and Harsha was always attentive. The grounds were beautiful. The massage/spa was good and hair salon was great as well. The money exchange within the hotel was fair and the location of the hotel is excellent. The room was a bit dated, had to request towels (had only one towel for 2 persons staying), the fridge in the room did not work well. There were issues with wifi the first day. Overall a good stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Samudra Colombo. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Fatima and Indunil, who served us at breakfast, as well as Dewmali and Chandana, for their exceptional service and genuine care. They made us feel more like personal guests than hotel guests, which made our stay truly memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay in Colombo at Taj. It was conveniently located in a walking distance to One Galle face and overlooking the Galle face beach. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices from authentic Sri Lankan cuisine to Indian, Continental, bakery, ommolette station and a kids friendly waffle station. The staff at breakfast buffet special mentioning to Indunil, Asanga, Yasiru and Bhagya who were accommodating to our 2 year old son and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The floor staff of our suite was exceptional, with a special thanks to Jeewani and Udesh who were kind with a special gesture of presenting our toddler with toys, and also the prompt house keeping from Sithara and Pamod. The room service food was presented well every time in less than 1 hour and with an extra side dish. Every staff member went the extra mile to make sure we had the most comfortable and enjoyable time at Taj. Definitely returning with family for the next trip.

The first thing I noticed was the courteous and ready to help staff, Taj has large tree covered property with both ocean and city views. I used the buffets styled restaurant offering international food and with more Indian themed food choices. (not surpised there since Taj is an Indian hotel company and at my visit, majority of guest were Indians.

What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?
