Gangaramaya temple is situated just 1km away from the heart of Colombo. I highly recommend you to visit this place if you find yourself in Sri Lanka. You will witness thousands of temples while you are traveling around Sri Lanka. All those temples are influenced by Theravada. But, Gangaramaya temple is influenced by a mixture of Theravada and Mahayana and it's really a nice place.

Other neighborhoods around Thimbirigasyaya

Only a very few of us can truly relate to this genre of music. This was a free gig that was open to anyone and everyone. Given that there were 2 other events happening in Colombo and Mount Lavinia, we ended up having this hardcore fans who enjoyed the fraternity on a Saturday evening. The only venue the rock community can get these days. But seems like this would be the last few concerts that we get to do here. The government is renovating the place, so they say. Till then we need to find another location.

If you are a Geek Fan, Geek HQ is the place to go!! In the picture are both Veg and Non Veg Options; Geek HQ 's special burger named Its Cloebbrin Time, Chewie Sandwich the non veg option and Red's Big Fries. This all came to a total of around 4000LKR which was quite reasonable and was shared among 4 of us! Coffee done right at The Grind. A quaint escapade amidst the bustle of Union Place! Few meters away from the Odel Mall you will find this small, trendy coffeehouse. In the picture is a Flat White and I absolutely loved it. There are only a handful of places in Sri Lanka where they do their coffee right and I can safely say that The Grind is one. There are unique dishes and drinks available on their menu and it must be noted that their portions are really worth your buck and all prices are inclusive of service charge and tax!
