"The Hotel Colorado has a long and storied history, having been built in the late 1800's and operating more or less continuously since then. It has been lovingly restored, modernized, and maintained and has a charm all its own. The hotel is located within a short walk of the downtown shopping area and public venues. We did find that the in-house restaurant felt a bit limited and overpriced, but our menu selections were tasty and the service was very good. The only knock I had was a rather steep fee for early check-in, which would have been nice after the drive. They did allow us to park in the lot, though, so I give some props for that. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Glenwood Springs."

"Beautiful property and the front desk staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Food and service at breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable, but it could use use some renovating: carpeting, stained lampshade, and wood trim in the bathroom. And beware if you are visiting in the summer. It is not air conditioned."

"Huge room and very comfortable bed. We love to stay here because of the pool and hot tub. It is so convenient to have the shuttle that will take you down to town and back home and it is free!"

"Perfect location. Short 10 minute walk to downtown. And the Gondola is right next door. 5 minute walk to Iron Mountain."
