"Carina Gold Hotel is absolutely wonderful! It is perfectly located near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and other major sites. The staff members are wonderfully helpful and attentive. Rooms are clean and relatively spacious. Breakfast is ample. Who could ask for anything more? I loved my stay!"

"I had first stayed here in 2007, and again in 2026. Wonderful staff, nice rooms, great breakfast. Very comfortable and the hotel evokes a quiet, elegant earlier time. Beautiful wood carvings instead of run of the mill glass and polished stone and seen in every other hotel these days."

"For a family of three, the Deluxe Room with a king bed and a twin bed was spacious, clean and comfortable. However, the room is definitely not soundproof, and conversations from neighboring rooms and the hallway can be quite annoying. The breakfast is not continental, but the variety is acceptable. The gym is definitely a highlight. The staff, particularly at the reception desk, are not very professional, which made both check-in and check-out more of a headache than they should have been. One important issue: if you use a credit card for the deposit, they don’t simply place a hold and release it later. Instead, they charge the amount and then refund it, which can result in exchange-rate differences and an unnecessary loss of money. Overall, considering the price, I would say the hotel is worth the money you pay."

"Fabulous location, we travelled with my 90 year old father, it really helped as all main sites were in walking distance and we could take the T1 tram back to the hotel after a long day for him. The staff were professional and consistent in all dealings. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. Book the 35 Euro afternoon Bosphorus 3hr trip from the concierge for good value. The Spa staff were lovely too but would say a bit pricey at £110 for an hour massage. Rooftop restaurant air con was far too high but food was great. They could have done with music on the terrace for atmosphere, though gulls were entertaining."

"This hotel is in a great location- the tram is right outside and easy to use. Swipe your credit card for about a euro and you’re on your way to all the sites like the Blue Mosque or the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is clean and breakfast is wonderful. The staff are very kind and helpful."

"I had a wonderful stay at the Mövenpick Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The entire staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—every single team member I interacted with was extremely helpful, warm, and attentive to every detail. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained. My room was spotless, showcasing top-tier cleanliness throughout my entire stay. After long days of exploring the city, coming back to such a comfortable space was a treat. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful, high-quality night's sleep every single night. Between the prime location, pristine facilities, and world-class service, Mövenpick exceeded all my expectations. I cannot recommend it enough and will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Istanbul!"
