The manager said their sensor cannot be triggered by hairspray. That is not correct. Hairspray has chemicals that sensors pick up. When I kept asking questions, the manager accused me of trying to buy a good review. He also spelled my name wrong on purpose. News reporters in Boston have looked into this. They found hotels using the same sensors to charge guests for hairspray and steam with no real evidence. I have used this booking site for many years. I have no other complaints like this. A hotel that ignores guest safety and charges surprise fees is not a place I will stay again. "
