Unique and special accommodations. The views are spectacular and the room details are creative. It is housed on a steep drop. You arrive at the top level and descend to numerous levels with patios. A castle in the sky. The owners were attentive and easy going. Enjoy!!

This place is AMAZING!! Ron, our host was very nice! He even let us use a cooler and gave us a bag of ice for it. He also made me coffee in the morning! It's very peaceful and we loved hearing all the coqui at night.

The host Ron was so nice. He made sure we had everything we needed. The room was decent sized. We didn’t spend much time at the property because we wanted to explore the island. The pool looked nice and clean we just didn’t use it. The property had great views across the mountains. Be prepared to drive on some wild mountain roads. It was so fun and would stay there again.

Just amazing. You can expect to wake and fall asleep with the sound of nature. The owner is AMAZING and truly made our experience joyful. Great recommendations and hilarious! We truly felt at home. Expectations were higher

They advertise that it includes breakfast but is not true. For us the breakfast was an attraction because when reading the previous reviews they said that the restaurants were far away and it is very correct. There was also no small refrigerator for medicines or a coffee maker in the room. Basically the place is summed up as a beautiful view and a good taste in the decoration of the room.

This is one of the most interesting and unique bnbs we have encountered. The property is beautiful and the love being poured into it is evident. The great- listening to the coqui and birds at night is enchanting, the AC works great, the host is charming, the view is magical. The cons- breakfast was not as pictured, but it was local, lol (McDonald’s breakfast sandwich) and the shower in the bathroom had no guard, so the water covered the bathroom floor. Could easily be a hazard. As mentioned in the listing, the stairs are no joke. Any mobility issues Would not be compatible for this location. Over all, we loved meeting Ron and his dad and seeing his beautiful home. You won’t find a better view or host. Glad we found this place!

Like a dream

Just the break from the world I needed.. no tv which I actually loved but there is Wi-Fi. The mountains are beautiful & pure magic the sounds of coquis at night were amazing, I loved every second of my stay. Waking up to a view that’s indescribable. The room was huge I loved the thought and intent put into the spaces there. Ron is the best host and we loved him his happy spirit and hospitality were top tier. I’m so grateful we found Villa Gringo. I hope to return some day!

We expected a better experience

We got one of the newer rooms down from the main building, which came pretty bare bones: no wifi from the room or the balcony, no closet space / dresser / indoor seating area, and a wet bathroom. The views are great, but the location is a 15-20 minute drive away from restaurants and facilities. For the price, we were expecting a more comfortable stay. Do yourself a favour and prepay your stay on hotels.com, otherwise you'll have to pay by cash or PayPal. And don't forget to contact the property in advance to plan a specific check in time, we missed those instructions in the confirmation email and think we inconvenienced the owner upon arrival.
