"This was our first stay at Gisborough Hall Hotel due to attending a wedding at the hotel. The hotel is set in magnificent grounds and from your first contact with reception, all staff are excellent and a credit to the management. Room was clean and ready. As per the brochure pictures. We had lunch in the De Brus Grill and the food was first class. Prices are a bit on the high side but it is a top hotel after all. Breakfast was exceptional. The bed in the room was like sleeping on a marshmallow. The best hotel bed I have ever slep in from visiting many hotels here and overseas. The Lord of the manor visited around the guests and it was a great experience to speak to him in person. He plays the piano in the Hotel in the evenings. And he is 98 years old. An exceptional gentleman. Biggest bonus for the hotel is the staff. Nothing is a problem to them. Polite and friendly with a sense of humour added in. A great weekend for us. I would visit this hotel again."

"Good base to explore the coast.Saltburn sea front is a must.The house itself wasn't 100%,we had to call maintenance to carry out a few repairs,the bathroom door wouldn't lock from the inside (annoying),the shower rail fell down, the handle on the bathroom window was broken, the shower curtain is way too long, paint is peeling off the wall in several locations,the front door threshold is filthy and you can't sit out in the backyard, you can't get Freeview channels on the TV we had to log into BBC iPlayer,the cable junction box outside the front of the house has come off the wall leaving exposed cables dangling.On a positive note it's quiet."

"A truely lovely pitstop. I was made to feel really welcome from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Only slight downside was there was no phone signal and the wifi was sketchy, but absolutely perfect to get away from it all. Located in a beautiful area for walking/running/cycling"

"Stayed here as attending a wedding at Danby castle . It was quiet , bedroom lovely and clean , staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast delicious.. no fault whatsoever. Would definitely recommend 🙂"

"We were attending a wedding in Guisborough and the owner very kindly let us leave our bags at the property before check in time. The place was ideally located in the centre and was lovely and clean, comfortable and well equipped. I would definately recommend this property. "

"Very clean, only downside was they only provided 1 bath towel, but 2 guests. Girl on reception lovely and helpful. "

"We fell in love with the cottage from the time we first entered - to find everything needed to make tea and biscuits, and a vase of flowers in the kitchen (and the unique feature - the cell door and barred windows on the old police cell!) The cottage had plenty of space and was very comfortable and well fitted - comfortable beds and linen, plenty of towels, well equipped kitchen and everything nice and clean.The heating system was of a type I had not previously encoutered, burning wood pellets, but the comprehensive instructions in the house guide made this easy to use and it worked perfectly. Add to this an ideal location for exploring the moors (and the local pubs and co-op), and this is a cottage I would love to return to another year."
