"The breakfast was lovely, staff very helpful, hard working and courteous. However my only complaint the breakfast plates were very small, i do understand some people will take more food then they need, but I found it difficut to eat my breakfast on such small plates."

"The farm was spot on for our family, especially our three energetic boys - climbing hills, riding bikes, toasting marshmallows on the fire, visiting the cows. It was all great. and Deni and Joe and their family were incredibly welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here. "

"Tiny cottage but warm and comfortable. Comfy beds with nice cotton bed linen. Very steep stairs. All electric heating & cooking. If self-catering you need to bring everything; oil, salt, pepper, etc. Quite tight parking at rear of property. Fairly well-equipped kitchen but basic appliances and no dishwasher. Co-op convenience store close by, also friendly pub. Short walk to railway station, although no trains to Whitby until May 2026 and engine shed only open Mondays. Quiet village, seems to be mainly holiday lets."

"Very nice cabin and location. Could have been a 5 star trip but the cleanliness was appalling. Severe smell of mould in ensuite, extraction fans full of dirt, awful smell coming from dishwasher, and smell of sewage from kitchen drains."

"This property and its host are simply outstanding. Located in the North Yorkshire countryside, the property is a converted barn, adjacent to the main farmhouse. While retaining the charm of the old structure, it has thoroughly modern kitchen and bathrooms. The is an en-suite bedroom on the ground floor as well as an en-suite bedroom upstairs. The upstairs bedroom and bath open to a small sitting area that overlooks the living space below. The main living area has a large television mounted on the wall, which is great for watching a film or two. There is also a wood burning stove.The hosts have ensured that the property is well-equipped with every accessory. The kitchen has beautiful cookware and a modern dishwasher. Plates and glassware are a joy. The property is beautifully decorated. The heating system keeps the space warm but ample blankets to make things cozy. Beds are extremely comfortable and the bedding first-rate.Views from the property are magnificent. Sheep and cattle dot the hillside; there are ample paths for walks. In the distance, in all directions, there are beautiful hills. We were greeted warmly by the hosts who explained the property and the area as well as answering our questions. They are attentive but also make sure to give guests their space."
