In the Streets of the City Centre (Como Art Apartment)

Located in Como’s pedestrian historic centre, inside an elegant period building along one of the main streets, just a few steps from the Cathedral and the lakefront, COMO ART APARTMENT combines historic charm with modern comfort.

Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a bright open-plan space: the relaxation area with a double sofa bed is perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing, while the modern, fully equipped open kitchen features a dining table ideal for shared meals (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared upon arrival, as we believe it is important for guests to be able to use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. Bed linen, pillows and blankets can be found in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa). A French door leads to a charming small balcony offering views over the city rooftops and the surrounding green hills. The spacious double bedroom, accessible through the door next to the kitchen, is equipped with a wardrobe and chest of drawers to comfortably organize your stay. Here too, a large French door fills the room with natural light and overlooks the streets of the city centre. Terracotta flooring adds warmth to the apartment, while reproductions of famous works by Kandinsky and Klimt bring colour and vibrancy, making the space unique and refined. Completing the property is a large, classically styled bathroom with wooden furnishings and a shower.

Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided.

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

The apartment does not have a private parking space; however, there are several public parking options available near the historic centre.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

COMO ART APARTMENT enjoys an ideal location for exploring Como’s city centre on foot. Situated on one of the main streets of the historic centre, opposite the Coin department store, the apartment is surrounded by numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. Piazza Cavour, the city’s largest square, is just a 2-minute walk away, where you can catch ferries operated by Navigazione Lago di Como to visit the most famous lakeside towns, such as Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna. Piazza Duomo and the Broletto are only 1 minute away, as are the main shopping streets, including Via Vittorio Emanuele. Other historic squares, such as Piazza San Fedele and Piazza Volta—now a popular evening hotspot thanks to its restaurants and bars—are just a 5-minute walk away. Within easy walking distance, or a short ride on city bikes, guests can reach Villa Olmo and its park along the picturesque promenade starting from the Hangar, or Villa Geno by following the lakeside path along Viale Geno. At the beginning of Viale Geno you will also find the funicular railway station to Brunate and its scenic panoramic lighthouse.

How to get there:

By car: from the A9 motorway, take the Como Centro exit and follow Via Pasquale Paoli, Via Napoleona and Viale Innocenzo towards the centre, or take the Como Lago exit and continue along Via per Cernobbio and Via Borgovico Nuova. Using GPS, the apartment can be reached in approximately 20 minutes from the motorway exit. Parking is available in blue-lined parking spaces (paid from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) or in city car parks (Autosilo Parcheggio Centro Lago, Autosilo Valduce, etc.).

By train: from Como San Giovanni station, take bus C70 towards “Como Recchi” for 2 stops and get off at “Como Lungolario Trento”; from there, the apartment is a 5-minute walk away.
