"The room and staff were amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the bar. The fine dining resturant was poor. Scant selection and the quality was average at best. Service was slow. We had a far superior meal off property for less cost. We would certainly stay again but would skip the food."

"The hotel is located in a good area - about 5 minute walk to Como Borghi train station (which you can arrive to from Milan) and close to a bus stop to get into Como town as well. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great - lots of choice, especially for vegetarians (pastries, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, cereal etc) The room was spacious and clean. We loved being able to use the pool on the rooftop and there are lovely views. It costs €2.50 for pool towels. A perfect base for relaxing and exploring Como too! Thank you for a lovely stay."

"I don’t normally leave such detailed reviews, but in this case, it’s definitely warranted. Where do I even begin? The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como was absolutely incredible and, without question, one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy! We were travelling through Italy and booked only two nights at the Mandarin, but if we were planning the trip again, we would definitely stay at least one night longer. The hotel lived up to its name, which is synonymous with exceptional service, attention to detail, and over the top luxury. As breathtaking as the property is, though, what stood out most was the service and the way the staff made us feel throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Even more impressive, the staff members we met during check-in made a point of greeting us personally whenever they saw us again. Those small touches made a lasting impression and are exactly what separates great service from truly exceptional hospitality. Everything about our stay, from our room and the food to the floating pool and the spa, felt special. We were genuinely sad when it was time to leave and wished we had booked that extra night. The Mandarin delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for and somehow exceeded it. If you’re considering staying here, do it! It’s definitely a splurge, but for us, it was worth every penny. Next time we’re in Lake Como, we’ll absolutely be back, and staying longer! 5+++ stars!"

"The hotel was very easy to find, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was basic but clean and stocked with the necessities - perfect and low-stress for a late arrival. The dinner menu and continental breakfast were also great."

"The overall stay was good. The property is quite a way from the lake, so it is a significant cost for a taxi since there is no shuttle. The breakfast is an extra charge, I think around €15 each, and it looked good. The room was clean. It is about 1 block to the bus stop. The staff was very helpful! The area was kind of run down, but seemed safe."
