Visited Tarascon-sur-Ariege and surrounding area. Food at the hotel's restaurant (Bellevue) was delicious and service was prompt. Also enjoyed the local wines. All staff were very helpful even though their English and our French needed a bit of help (thanks to Lovely Planet translation books). Pricing for accommodation was appropriate. We only stayed one night on our way to carcassonne from having seen chateau de peyreperteuse. The hotel was very clean and welcoming and the owner was very helpful. The town was exceptionally cute. I wish we had booked a longer stay to take better advantage of the activities the town had to offer.

Beautiful, peaceful property in the countryside, only a few minutes from Foix. The proprietress is lovely, and the food is very good. Note the wifi is spotty and a bit slow, but manageable, and there is no air conditioning. Despite these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing stay at Le Clos Cathala.

Marianne was an attentive host. Check-in was easy, parking was on site, the rooms in the family unit were comfortable. The house is impeccably maintained, inside and out, with lonely sitting areas outside and a cute little town to stroll around. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

This is a very nice chamber de notes and is the reason I choose to stay in this style of accommodation. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the house was very comfortable. The area is wonderful for bicycling and I would recommend it for a bicyclist. You won’t be disappointed
