All the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. The room we had was in the courtyard and was spotless. The breakfast was excellent and we both enjoyed utilising the vast grounds for a walk and the Ealu pool area each day.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Wildes Restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast and dinner. Just a couple of criticism, the breakfast order of eggs benedict was served on toasted sour dough which was very difficult to cut through and chew and spoiled the enjoyment of it. I believe that traditional English muffins are a better choice to serve eggs benedict on. Although the rack of lamb was beautifully cooked it still required a steak knife to cut it , but this was not provided.
Disappointed with our lunch in the bar area. Beef fat chips were horrible, the fish batter and fish was overcooked.
Found the very noisy pipe hammer in our bedroom every morning between 5 a.m and 6 a.m. to be very alarming and annoying.
The bar dining area furniture was looking tired and not very clean.
Our stay at The Lodge was wonderful. We loved the nice, comfortable room, large bathroom, and the pool area was a nice respite on a cool, rainy & windy day. The staff was wonderful as was the very large breakfast. It was a treat for sure!

Beautiful breakfast & dinner.
Fabulous health & fitness facilities.
Exceptional service from all staff.
Unbelievable location & views.
Room decor / furniture needed updating as furniture felt a little dated and out of keeping with general standard of the lodge.
The place is fantastic, the decor is very cool, rooms fresh and spacious, situation idyllic. Loved my smoked haddock for breakfast. Evening meal was was the only slight disappointment, not quite on par with everything else- uninspired and overpriced.
I loved using the free bicycles to tour round the castle gardens and down to Cohan’s bar for a pint of Guinness and some delicious scallops.
Absolutely loved our stay. The staff are so helpful and looked after us so well. Especially the lovely lady who looked after us each morning at breakfast. We were sad saying goodbye to her on our last morning. We loved our room and treated ourselves to room service one of the nights and that was top marks. We ate in the bar another night and down in the Cottage too, couldn’t fault any of them. The only thing that could have improved our stay was the temperature of the pool. Okay for us adults but found it was too cold for our toddler.
We stayed in a double room off the courtyard and it was lovely. Especially Loved the duo of local music in the bar area with Carmel Dempsey who has such a beautiful voice. Staff were very accommodating and drove us down to the Ashford Castle for a peek. Breakfast was delicious. In Cong took 'The Quiet Man' movie tour which is not to be missed! Ate dinner in Pat Cohan's bar which is featured in the John Wayne movie.
Nice to be a on the estate. Room was nice and clean. Wish it had a smart tv. Dinner at Wilde restaurant was very average. Enjoyed biking and falconry on the estate.
