Top Connaught Gardens Hotel Reviews

Mount Pleasant Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Although it can be a little tricky parking when all the places are nearly full the hotel is ideally situated near the center of Sidmouth. Very much a boutique hotel and it was full when we arrived as we hadn't realised it was the carnival weekend. Stayed in for dinner which we were asked to select our choices in advance and it was excellent - beautifully cooked and very tasty. Our room was very quiet overnight and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning had a great choice of options and the coffee was good. Overall - highly recommended."

Royal Glen

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel, very comfortable room and facilities. On site parking. Breakfast good, sunday evening meal excellent"

Hotel Elizabeth

8/10 Good

"Great location right on the seafront, couldn't be better, and a lovely little room. Staff were helpful."

Woodlands Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Super friendly and flexible staff. Wonderful breakfast, very organised. Comfy bed, I had a good night sleep. Window open and no noise except an owl! 😍"

Hotel Riviera Sidmouth

10/10 Excellent

"All very satisfactory."

Harbour Hotel Sidmouth

8/10 Good

"I would like to have given the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel 5 stars. However, I have only given it 4 stars because the main hotel description on Expedia is inaccurate. It says "this hotel sits directly on a pebble beach....". It does not. It is situated about 3 minutes walk from the beach, 75 feet above sea level on the adjacent hillside. I pointed this error out to the receptionist, who agreed the description is incorrect. But it has not been changed. In all other respects, the hotel met our expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good. I particularly enjoyed the pianist playing the piano during Sunday lunch. I recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for a luxurious stay."

Sidmouth apartment perfect for beach and town

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely property with private parking right on the sea front. Great few days. Would definitely recommend"

Royal York and Faulkner Hotel

8/10 Good

"Great breakfast and superb waterfront location!"

The Belmont Hotel - Adults Only

8/10 Good

"Great location, right on the seafront. Staff are absolutely lovely. Hotel is very clean and seems to be freshly decorated, although in a rather dated style that perhaps caters more to the average age of the clientele. Breakfast is served at the table, rather than a buffet. The hotel suggests a jacket and tie in the restaurant for dinner, so it’s quite formal. Room was super clean and the bathroom bright, clean and clinical. Bed was very soft and bouncy. It was a very pleasant stay but, despite being in my 50s, I couldn’t help feeling that we were lowering the average age by about 20 years."
