"I am a wildlife photographer and was looking for a hotel in North Wales which had the potential for some nice photos on its doorstep and it was just what I was looking for! The grounds were beautiful. Not only that, there are plenty of quiet spaces around inside near the bar area so I was able to have a peaceful drink while I edited my photos. The staff were all friendly and helpful and we were shown to our room on arrival. We had a classic double room which was a bit too small for our liking with a small window too which meant that the room got very warm in the night. We would upgrade to a bigger room next time, just something to bear in mind for those considering staying in summer. "

Time fir a revamp and deepclean

"The property is in a quiet location and the promotion pixtures are largely acurate. Unfortunately the property does not seen.to be maintained and inside the facilities are just mean or.missing. The kitchen is missing basics like salt & pepper, and has a very small fridge. The dishwasher is again very small and the door does not open properly making it practically impossible to insert dinner plates. There were just 3 tumblers and 5 teaspoons provided. Ourside the riverside patio needs a clean and the garden.plants are overgrown making the garden and patio quite dark. "

Superb family-friendly dwelling in Snowdonia National Park with mountain views

Great stay

"10 of us go away pre christmas for a weekend of fun and walks, eating and drinking. We checked in without issue and info received from host was clear and simple. House is beautiful, well appointed and nice and warm when we arrived. Bedrooms are lovely but are different sizes so its useful to take this into account when allocating rooms. Kitchen is great and dining area plenty big enough for 10. Two lounges , one huge for everyone to be together Unfortunately we stayed when a storm hit and we had no power for a full day, however the host kept in touch throughout. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend "

Tan Y Celyn - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 3

A rural retreat.

"The property is lovely and in a pleasant spot although right at the road side( very narrow and not much traffic ) so still quiet. We had some trouble locating the key which is beside the back, not front door which is quite hidden. Inside it is well appointed, cosy and clean. Great bathroom and kitchen and the lounge was adequate for two,of us. Some problems putting the tv on But we managed it o the third night. But al tv’s seem endlessly complicated these days. Progress seems to make things more difficult. My only real problem was the larger bedroom where the bed took almost all the space. There was no room for a bedside table for my book, glasses, hearing aid charger or watch.. Difficult for anyone I should think but at 89 I found it tricky to have to get up for everything I needed. But the bed was comfortable! I. Cannot imagine a couple in that room with nowhere to put clothes or luggage. I think it would be better to just have a single bed and let it to singles."
