This hotel has a central location a couple of blocks from the central train station and Tivoli Gardens. This is a great advantage but also problematic, as the immediate neighborhood is a bit seedy. This can lead to noise from drunk people late at night. We were there in winter, so it wasn't too bad, but could be a real problem in the summer. However, the hotel itself was outstanding. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful. The wine hour from 5-6 was a lot of fun and a nice way to unwind at the end of the day. Overall, I would definitely stay there again, but if I was there in the summer, I would ask for an inward facing room to avoid the street noise.
Prima hotel, dicht bij het station en het centrum. Modern ingericht. Buurt is 's-nachts wat minder maar niet onoverkomelijk. Douche was iets minder luxe.
It was a great place to stay, the rooms are compact yet comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food. The staff were helpful and they have wine available at 5pm.
Really enjoyed staying here - perfect for two nights as a base to explore the city. Happy hour with free wine is great... Only recommendation is pack some ear plugs if your room is on the front, can be a bit noisy at night.
lovely weekend away, beautiful city and lots of site seeing to do. The shopping is great and mostly all in one long street. The city is designed for wlaking and cycling (you can hire one from most hotels)
This is an ideally placed hotel for accessing all the sights of Copenhagen. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, recommending restaurants, bus routes and directions to various landmarks. The room was very clean and comfortable if a little on the small side, quiet and well equipped. Breakfast was good with a decent selection of fresh fruits ,breads and pastries.
In an otherwise expensive city Anderson hotel provided good value for money and if we return to Copenhagen I would definitely stay there again.

good location
close to the central station. very small room, but clean. bathroom somehow less comfortable.
Arrived after midnight following flight delay, but reception still open with friendly efficient service. Room had drinks and snacks available for purchase. Good quality quiet room overlooking rear courtyard. Small bathroom, with shower behind curtain in corner.
Close to railway station. Nice restaurants close by. Staff very nice and helpful. We were able to check in early and check out late. We were even invited to have breakfast the morning we arrived.
We came to Copenhagen for a vacation and really enjoyed walking around the city. The hotel was good value for the money and very well situated. Tivoli Gardens and many other interesting sites were within walking distance not to mention the Central Station. The only bad thing about the location was that the block around the corner from the hotel entrance was frequented by heavy drinkers and ladies of the evening. Fortunately it seems that the street is being improved. There were several excellent restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel.
This hotel is in the wrong are of town with proximity to strip clubs and sex shops. It is also not equipped to deal with the warm summer as there is no airconditioning. The only way to cope was with windows open and fan on but this made the room excessively noisy and sleep was impossible. It is a pity becasue the concept of the hotel is good with pleasant decor and staff.
Very pleased with this hotel, I would go back. Location, value, facilities, room spacious, friendly staff all a positive. One negative that prevented me from giving 5 stars across the board was the bar and restaurant area. The bar staff worked hard, but never seemed to be able to get drinks out in a timely manner; sometimes not at all. The restaurant had good food, but they had a very limited menu for non-Belgian pallets. We watched with humor as people poured over the menu, paging back and forth to find something to their liking. When we had food the quality was good to excellent, but the menu choices drove us to eat dinner elsewhere. I suspect a management problem in the bar and restaurant, the waiters appear to have been told not to write down orders but to memorize them. The end results were inevitable. This was just one example of inefficiencies that caused slow and bad service, yet the overall impression was that there was adequate staff and they all worked hard. Something was wrong behind the scenes. Take away the waiter/order process and things worked really well, an example was the breakfast buffet which was well stocked with international choice and was excellent.
The staff in reception were friendly and efficient.
Nice features were access to two computers for no charge, free parking and the pleasant uniforms worn by the staff.
I booked this hote instead of the SAS based on the comments on Tripadvisor. The hotel was OK but because we has come from Stockholm where we had stayed at the truly fabulous Rival, this felt a bit of alet down (but it wasn't as expensive as the RIval so maybe you get what you pay for). Having said that, the Hotel is well located near the railway station. We booked a "woonderful" room which was still quite snall so I am not sure what the standard rooms are like. THe rooms are quite noisy although the Double glazing on teh windows is very good. The webbsite seems to indicate that there are a number of "wonderful" rooms at the back but it appears theat there is only one.
The breakfast was ok, a cold buffet.
Havng said that, the staff were very helpful, particlalry Elke who gave us some fantastic tips for restaurants and bars, the rooms were clean and on the Friday night, at the start of the Copenhage Jazz Festival, they had some Jazz in teh lounge with free fizz and nibbles.
This is a superb hotel !
The staff all speak good English and are so helpfull and friendly. We had a room that faced the rear courtyard ,it was quiet and very comfortable. The hotel had a great location ,only a couple of blocks from the rail station so quick and easy to get to the airport.
Breakfast is included in the rate and is excellent ,leaving you well set up for the day.
If you like personal ,friendly service in nice surroundings ,then this is the hotel for you .
If I go back to Copenhagen again, I will definitely stay at Andersen Hotel! The hotel staff are very professional and friendly. They recommended me good restaurants. The hotel's breakfast is great.

Terrible check in
I had booked the hotel through Expedia and was surprised when the hotel collected the fee two weeks later as I thought I'd pay on arrival. When we turned up the hotel had no record of the payment and it was only when I was able to show them a bank statement which luckily I had online access to, were we able to go to our room. It took about 30 minutes. Far from impressed. The rooms are very small but the breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly.
Good location near Tivoli Gardens and the station. Rooms clean but small - to be expected in a central location. There aren't any tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast buffet lovely.
