One of the most charming boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Every amenity thought of and superbly done. The Balinese decor was very boho chic. The staff was outstanding, helpful with recommendations and friendly. Rooms are small, but so comfortable and attractive. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Very little hot water pressure very very little hot water pressure on a handheld and a shower and a bathroom toilet sink. Elevator was very slow the staff at the restaurant and the food was very well prepared prices were higher than comparable places.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is very close to Tivoli Gardens, the train station and many bars, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are in need of updating/re-design. There was a very uncomfortable looking stone bathtub in the area with the bed which just got in the way. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice.

The location was ideal for Tivoli and where our tour started. The hotel offers laundry service which was awesome and a good price. There is no air conditioning but they do provide a fan and can give you an extra one which made it fine. We do recommend the hotel invest in black out curtains as even at night the sun is out (or be sure to pack sleep masks).

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size, well presented and quiet. The property was located perfectly to explore the area and in very close proximity to the rail station to explore the surrounding areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Super great location, really close to the central station in Copenhagen. The decor gives old glamour/1980s vibe. Really clean rooms, pretty quiet, and friendly service. Highly recommend visiting the spa which is pretty cheap if you're staying multiple nights!

This hotel was really solidly positive experience, with its unique Bali-inspired atmosphere, excellent food in the restaurant, friendly staff, creative and generous breakfast and well decorated room. How did they manage to get so much out of this relatively small hotel? We did not try anything of the Spa facilities as we had our dog with us. Highly recommended.

A fantastic experience as we were upgraded to the penthouse sweet upon check in for an additional fee of 500dkr. A quick and hassle free check in even though we didn’t have time to check in online prior to our arrival. The hottub was a great extra feature and made it all extra luxurious. Breakfast was great and had everything you would want. Will definitely return!

This is a lovely hotel just steps from the Copenhagen train station. There are excellent bars and restaurants within g walking distance and it is easy to explore the city by bike or transit. The spa is worth the fee although the hours could be better. The breakfast is well priced and of excellent quality. The bar is a good spot to have a quick drink in between sightseeing.

My stay at Axel Guldsmeden was overall very enjoyable. Check-in was quick and easy, and the rooms had a cozy atmosphere with a nice, unique vibe. However, the cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel offers a great selection of amenities, including body oil, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you might need, such as a kettle, TV, and a safe. The spa was a real highlight, excellent value for money and often quite empty, making it perfect for relaxing. It includes everything from a sauna and steam room to a jacuzzi and infrared sauna. A nice extra touch was the complimentary coffee scrub, mud mask, and even a peanut mix to enjoy while relaxing on the sunbeds. Breakfast was delicious, with most, if not all, items being organic. There was a wide selection, from scrambled eggs and crispy bacon to juices and ginger shots. One thing to note is that it can get quite crowded on weekends. Some guests had to sit outside in the garden, where it was a bit chilly in the morning, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a table indoors. The hotel also has a gym, which is a great bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, either in person or via the phone in the room. Location wise, the hotel is very central, within walking distance of the main train station, metro stops, a nearby supermarket, and tivoli gardens. A great stay with a relaxing atmosphere with just minor room for improvement.

Good location. Didnt like the fact that hotel does not have a fridge, even when i requested for them to help me store some food stuff, they say no cause they are eco friendly. I dont see the link, when the appliances in the room are not eco friendly but cheap appliances that you can find in common stores. Staff was friendly to help print stuff. Hotel has no AC but fan is provided. For the luxurious price, i dont think i am getting luxurious feel or service. Not forgetting they did not change my towels when i put them on the toilet bowl seat. They just hang it back on the hanger. And the bugs that appeared in the bathroom. Overall, i think i will spend the money elsewhere next time.

Overall a hotel that focuses more on design and greenwashing than comfort. Weird bulbous floor lamps and bamboo decorations that take up half the floor space and make it difficult to walk around the room. Strange hours for the spa that supposedly make it more sustainable. It was a nice enough hotel for the price, but don't expect a lot. The first room they put us in was on the ground floor on an inside courtyard and the windows were screwed shut and the fan did not work. It was also next to some kind of ventilation system that made a really loud noise. There was a nice stand alone tub in this room. We complained about the noise and they moved us to a quiet room on the 3rd floor. This room was much smaller. We were disappointed that the limited hours for the spa (which they say are limited to reduce emissions?) are right in the middle of dinner time. They would be better off having a few hours in the morning when nothing else in the city is open.
