"First things first - we had a lovely time here. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, it was a really chill vibe. The onsite restaurants were excellent, and it was easy to settle into a comfortable groove - especially if you embrace "Fiji time"..
The beach was convenient with warm waters and good sand, and the shore snorkeling at the nearby reef was world class. I highly recommend a) snorkeling at or near high tide, pretty much in front of the neighboring Intercontinental hotel and b) signing up for the (free) guided snorkel that they run - having a knowledgeable guide helps you see things that you would otherwise miss.
The WiFi was largely good, but I don't think you can rely on it to stream a movie over VPN for example, but it's great for web browsing and email etc.
One thing to note: what makes it special is it's seclusion, it's a decent drive from the airport and there isn't a lot to do on foot from there, other than eating at the (expensive) intercontinental next door. So, plan accordingly. The major upside is the relaxation and serenity that comes with the location.
We took a day cruise from Port Denauru with South Sea cruises, they included round trip shuttle from the hotel in the package, I'm sure other companies offer similar options.
All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend the property."
