"Everything was great"

"We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Yanuca Island and would happily go back. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by staff at reception (a special shoutout to Napoleon), and that same warmth carried through to check-out. Highlights: - The staff were consistently lovely, warm and attentive the whole time we were there. - We really appreciated having adults-only dining options. It was a great way to enjoy a quiet meal, away from the kids elsewhere on the resort. - Golden Cowrie was a standout for us. We'd strongly recommend it, an à la carte Italian restaurant. - The snorkelling was fantastic, both off the beach and on a boat trip out to the reef. The coral and marine life were incredible. - The birthday surprise arranged by housekeeping was such a thoughtful touch and genuinely made our stay. Areas for improvement: - It wasn't made clear that half board dinner only covers food, not drinks. This should really be spelled out in the resort guides and at check-in, so guests aren't caught off guard when the bill comes. - Pricing across the resort could be more transparent generally. It often wasn't clear whether prices included tax or not. - We'd have liked the option to pay by cash or card directly at restaurants and activities, rather than everything going onto the room tab by default. The overall experience was excellent. The natural beauty of the island, the food and the people made this a trip we'll remember fondly."

"Great activities for the kids. The entertainment in the evening was great, lots going on. Staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Apart from the Tandoori Kitchen, only open weekends, the food options for dinner were average. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options, happy with that. We had a 2-room bungalow with ocean view which was great."
