"Enjoyed my stay only issue I had was on returning to hotel late one night there was a man sat on sofa which asked me as I walked in what my room number was, I said I ain’t telling you my room number. Entered the lift then the receptionist opened lift and told me to come to reception so they can check my booking. I am assuming the man on sofa may have been security but he didn’t say who he was just what’s your room number. I told them I didn’t want to give my room number to a random man sat on sofa as I am a woman staying alone"

"All staff very helpful (Receptionists, kitchen staff, Cleaners). Breakfast good, would have liked chicken sausage option. Room spacious, clean, loved the roomy shower and bed. Weatherspoons, Pizza, Aldi, petrol station a stone throw away. Went for a wedding, large well lit head to toe mirror in room. Will stay again very satisfied."

"Lovely quiet location overlooking pedestrianised New Walk and very central, close to town and university. Very efficient and helpful staff. Room very comfortable and well appointed and whole building well adapted from original row of 19th century houses. Good onsite parking too. Looking forward to next stay."

"Clean, friendly hotel. Breakfast was as advertised and our room was perfect for our needs. Easy to find and free, plentiful parking. Mainly seems to cater for business clientele and does its job well for a very reasonable price."

"Had a great stay, the room was nice and clean and comfortable. The pool and spa area were very nice. I wasn’t aware until after I had booked the use of the pool was an extra charge. Also parking wasn’t free which was also not expected. Overall would stay again but would have to factor in the extra costs"

"Everything about this property was perfect. Lovely clean room with modern power shower beautifully tiled. Lots of little extras such as luxury soap, shower gel, body lotion. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets and a small bottle of milk each day, not to mention the little chocolates and hot chocolate and biscuits. A small fridge with ice box in the room and of course a kettle. They just enjoyed adding those extra touches which make all the difference. The outdoor pool and sunbeds were perfect during the hot weather. The pool was lovely and warm and the hot tub was a bonus too. There was a bar which was well stocked, a games room and a lounge as well as a small restaurant which opens most days for evening meals but not everyday. However there are plenty of places within 4 miles of the property for eating if required. The staff were amazing. Everyone was friendly, kind, helpful and went out of their way to ensure you had everything you needed. As for the breakfast, absolutely top notch. The cooked breakfast had fresh meat from a local farm shop, there was cereal, fruit juice, real fresh fruit salad, yogurt. Everything you would want. The location is on a quiet lane overlooking fields on one side and the pool on the other side. All the lodges are on the ground floor and we found it very quiet, no traffic noise at all A stay at this property is pure luxury and an absolute joy. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and a repeat stay is definitely on the cards."
