A Quaint Rustic Bungalow Overlooking The Fishing Village of Corea Harbor

Rustic meets modern convenience in this rustic 100+ year old, one bedroom, oceanfront bungalow. It overlooks picturesque Corea Harbor, in Corea Maine, a small fishing village located in Gouldsboro. You can watch local lobsterman leave the harbor, haul their traps and sell their catch at the end of their day.

There is a screened in front porch that leads into a small kitchen, a small bathroom and a small living area. Upstairs has a queen bed and a full size bed.

Bridges Bungalow includes a Full sized refrigerator, a gas cook stove with oven, a microwave, a coffee pot, linens, towels, dishes, utensils, wi-fi, a smart tv with netflix, an outdoor propane grill and a fire pit for evening fires.

You can buy fresh, local lobster 1/2 mile away at Corea Lobster Co-Op or you can enjoy Lunch on the Wharf at Corea Wharf Gallery and Grill also 1/2 mile away. Some other local dining options are ‘The Pickled Wrinkle’ in Birch Harbor and ‘Salt Box’ located in Winter Harbor.

It is only about 10 minutes from Winter Harbor where you can enjoy the Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park or take the Ferry for a day trip to Bar Harbor.

Local activities include hiking, biking, fishing, boating and kayaking. There is also a golf course in Winter Harbor and Sorrento.

This place is a cozy, rustic little retreat where you can leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and enjoy the life of a little fishing village in Corea.

What a great bungalow, in a great location. My wife and I just spent 3 nights here and we already want to come back. If you want quiet, relaxing days and nights in a very modern, clean bungalow then book here. 1hr away from Bar Harbor and it's not a bad drive. Great coffee house across from the airport too. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean, very organized and just right for two people.The beds were heavenly , so comfortable ,we hated to get out of them in the am but didn’t want to miss watching the boats going off to catch lobster.It was the most peaceful and serene place we have ever visited. We spent most of our time enjoying the view from the screened porch.

Cute bungalow on active lobster harbor. The bungalow was comfortable and inviting and had all of the necessary amenities! The bed was so comfortable and the TV and couch were so nice to come home to after a day of exploring and hiking! We loved sitting on the screened in porch and exploring down by the water and even watching to lobster boats go out for the day!

Corea Harbor is a great little location on the Schoodic Peninsula and the bungalow has a front seat to the action. We loved watching the boats come and go, the Catch Your Own Lobster cruise and local Pickled Wrinkle restaurant. The loft bay windows are awesome for morning coffee!

We had a wonderful time here watching the boats go in and out of the harbor, walking to a local seafood take out for lobster rolls, chatting with neighbors, and doing not much else. We would love to come back and stay longer next time. I would highly recommend this place to those who want to have some peace and quiet, read a book, or take a nap!

I stayed in this cottage 32 years before when it was under different ownership. I've been back to Corea at least a dozen times and come for the views, the ever changing light, the smells, even the fog. The cottage has since been renovated and upgraded -- nice sofa and furniture in the living area, televisions, a queen and double bed and comfortable chairs upstairs overlooking the harbor. The kitchen is well supplied -- all you need -- including a Poland Springs water dispenser. The lobster co-op is down the road -- and pots available in the cottage for cooking them. Shopping in Winter Harbor at the IGA -- now called Winter Harbor Provisions -- is easy. They have almost everything, including fresh fish. We love the 5 and 10. They have everything you might have forgotten -- and then some. Even sewing goods and local sweatshirts and t-shirts. Good local restaurants -- we enjoyed Tree Top. We've often eaten at Chase's -- and picked up stuff from the small grocery at the gas station in Prospect Harbor,. And the Schoodic end of Acadia Park is gorgeous -- pink granite cliffs and waves crashing against the rocks and spraying up 20-30 feet. And Darthia Farm for local produce and meats.

The view!

We had a great time in Corea! Lobster at Bell Bouy’s was excellent and we enjoyed golf at Grindstone! Make sure and talk the ferry to Bar Harbour. This cottage has everything you could want, quiet and views are amazing!

Simply Fantastic

We had a crowd of family members in our main house so my wife and I booked this property via VRBO. We unexpectedly needed to check in early so the owner made a special trip that morning just for us. The view is spectacular. The cottage is cozy but perfect for a couple. Super clean, tasteful nautical decor, updated appliances with quaint mid-century elements. Loved it!

Perfectly quiet

If you're like us and like to vacation without staying in the central hub of tourists this is absolutely the place for you. This small cottage directly on the harbor is a perfect spot for anyone who wants a quiet place to relax at the end of the day with gorgeous a view and the unique opportunity to watch fishermen leaving for a days work (they're so quiet we almost missed seeing them leave!!)Pam is an excellent host and her cottage is well stocked with anything you'd need during your stay. Our dog absolutely loved the location with all the seagulls, geese and water to keep her entertained.

The hidden gem
