"We visited in the off-season and found the hotel to be beautiful. The staff to be friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The restaurant to have great meals for when we didn't want to travel. Overall restful"

"Our room, bathroom, and balcony were spacious. The pool area was nice and clean. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They made our stay special. Breakfast was made to order and excellent."

"Another wonderful stay! The property was as lovely as ever and staff is superb! I love returning here each time. We had 90-minute massages that were incredible, I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep. Can’t wait to be back there again!"

"The place is beautiful and the staff is super friendly"

"Súper recomendado, muy buena atención, lugar muy seguro y la atención excelente"

"Beautiful and safe property. We loved our overnight stay on our way from Monteverde to Osa and Drake Bay. Nice trails for an early morning hike, coupled with a great breakfast made a perfect start to our morning. Toucans, howler monkeys and a gorgeous sunset made this stay one of our favorites. Clean room and wonderful staff were appreciated. We stayed in the Manu room."

"Unfortunately the hot water runs off Solar. We were there on a rainy day so… no hot water."

"Nice room, very private space, short walk to good restaurants, friendly staff, will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. "

"We had an enjoyable stay and the room, kitchen and pool was very clean. They had a coffee pot, refrigerator, toaster oven and dishes. I would definitely this lodge. "

"Excelente hotel"

"The location is perfect. We were a block from our whale watching tour, two blocks from the beach (parque nacional marina ballena), and there were some smaller but very good restaurants nearby. It was easy access to the highway as well. We enjoyed the pool and the shower and A/C worked well. It was very convenient for everything we came to do. Also recomment the restaurant La Boba La Ballena nearby."

"The owners are so sweet and make you feel right at home. The property and room is absolutely gorgeous. I especially loved the little patio area and communal kitchen."

"Awesome experience. Great resort. Food and drinks were superb."

"Friendly staff."

"What an amazing piece of paradise! The property is stunning and the staff is very friendly and informative. I would say a 4x4 vehicle is required, especially in the rainy season. We saw tons of birds and enjoyed listening to the howler monkeys in the morning from the porch. I would definitely stay again and refer my friends!"

"Yes, as I wrote in a personal review for the owner/manager, aside from her direct, hands-on style of running the place, Paraizo Azul's biggest draw (for me) is its superb, generous SWIMMING pool, which forms the center of a very open, communal lay-out ... shadowed generously by a wide view of river delta, in front of ocean, off in the distance."

"Would highly recommend! Beautiful grounds, unique and comfortable villas, amazing breakfast baskets and the best cocktails we had in CR. Its owner operated with a personal touch. Location is good too - tucked away and quiet but just a quick drive to restaurants and shops. "

"Friendly stuff, spacious accommodations, superb breakfast."

"Love this place. Delightful owners, wonderful view and jungle property, excellent food and cocktails! If you do the beach hike through the jungle, have bug spray! 😄"
