Our beach house has everything you need for a vacation here - comfortable beds with cool and crisp linens, fluffy bathroom towels, open shelves in the kitchen stocked to feed friends and family, beach toys and chairs for days in the sun. Bring your food and you are good to go!

Year-round Port Aransas has something for everyone! There is abundant sun, surf and-sand if you just want to "get away from it all." If you are lucky, watch a turtle hatchling release at the Padre Island National Seashore during the summer. Port A is THE place for fishing - in the bay, offshore or from the jetties - you are sure to go home with some fish tales! For the nature lover, the birds here are incredible - seeing a squadron of Pelicans dive for their meals, or the pink of Roseate Spoonbills never gets old for us! If you want to go shelling on a secluded island, check out San Jose Island - accessible by ferry from Port A For the art lover - the Port Aransas Art Center holds classes and has gorgeous local art available for purchase. Relaxing on the beach or adventuring in town, you won't be bored in Port Aransas!

This charming beach house gives you the best of both worlds - close to the beach and to town. The sand is less than 5 minutes away via the private La Playa neighborhood boardwalk and our place is your best location for the yearly SandFest event located right across the boardwalk on the beach.

The Blue Roost is a three bedroom, two bathroom beach house that sleeps up to 10 adults in 8 separate beds. It is comfortable enough for a quiet stay for two and large enough for a vacation with the extended family. Great for girls getaways, fishing excursions and family trips. As our guest at the Blue Roost (an owner managed property) you will have easy access to the house via your personal lock code - which means no coordinating schedules to pick up/drop off keys and no danger of losing keys at the beach!

Kitchen/Dining

This beach house has a large, fully equipped kitchen that holds everything you need to feed friends and family. The beautiful large island in the kitchen is the heart of the house. The island seats 6 and the beautiful live-edge dining table seats up to 10. For morning coffee or al fresco dining, just outside the kitchen, the covered sitting area is perfect for 5, or head up to the top deck Adirondack chairs for 6 more.

Living Room

The cozy living room has a large sofa with chaise and two comfy barrel chairs. If you need to stay in touch with the outside world for remote work or schooling, you will have access reliable high-speed 400Mbps WiFi throughout the house and on the decks. Use the 65" flat screen TV to watch TV & movies via Roku.
There is no traditional cable or satellite TV.
We provide a Roku Smart TV with Guest Mode enabled so you can safely sign in to your own personal streaming accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Max, Prime Video, YouTube, etc.). Everything automatically logs out on your checkout date—no need to remember to sign out, and your credentials never stay on the device.
Free ad-supported movies and shows are also available through The Roku Channel and other free apps if you don’t feel like logging in.
Just bring your login details (or cast from your phone) and enjoy your favorite shows exactly as you would at home!
Bedrooms

The large master bedroom downstairs has a new comfy king-sized memory-foam bed and the equally large guest room across the hall has two of the same Queen-sized beds. The downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with spa shower and double vanity. The upstairs, called the Seven Dwarfs room by my kids, is a fabulous 37-foot-long bedroom with one queen bed, 4 twin beds and a bathroom with shower. All bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen tv and Roku. Sleeps 10 adults in 8 separate beds. All bedding and bath towels are provided. No wimpy towels here!

The upstairs bedroom has a short stairwell entrance which opens up to a very tall room with slanted ceiling. The room has a sliding barn-style door for privacy. There’s a workstation in this room complete with a comfy chair, HD 31” computer monitor, wired keyboard and wired mouse for your tele-work/tele-school needs (bring your own laptop/device).

Two Levels of Decks

The upper deck is a great area to work on a tan while enjoying a lovely birds eye and partial view of the Gulf. When you've had enough sun, lounge on the covered lower deck and enjoy the balmy breezes and sounds of the sea. Both decks have gates at the steps, providing a secure area for small children or pets.

The Blue Roost is dog friendly. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be crated inside when unattended. Each pet is considered individually and owner approval with a completed pet addendum is required before your arrival.

No Prom groups or parties please. Contract signer must stay at the house and be 25 or older. No illegal drug or underage use of alcohol permitted at any time and will result in immediate termination of reservation and forfeiture of all rents and deposits.

Corpus Christi Airport is 45 minutes away. San Antonio is less than 3 hours away.

We highly encourage our guests to purchase trip insurance to cover for unforeseen illness or extraordinary weather events. No refunds will be given outside of the stated terms. 60-day advance cancellation for a full refund and 30-day advance cancellation for a 50% refund.

Hurricane Policy:

If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds or rescheduling will be given unless the following very specific conditions have been met:

• The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area' and/or

• A mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning' area of residence of a vacationing guest.

The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning,' area, we will refund:

• Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;

• Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and

• Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the 'Hurricane Warning' period.
