Wonderful hospitality and food, good location. Didn’t sleep well most night because of large (10) group also staying, who returned late or very late and woke us up (3 times one night !), but that was no fault of the hotel, and could happen anywhere.

We loved our stay. The hotel is a little gem and Silvia was an amazing host. Highly recommend staying here. Small, quaint rooms, Lovely patio and pool and the breakfast is outstanding.

This was the perfect away from the city stay for us. Cortona was just a quick few day stay for us but the staff/sylvia were fantastic. Room was clean, the breakfast was delicious. A/c and water pressure from the shower was much needed and the location was perfect for us. It is a short walk from downtown Cortona (steep walk into the city and about 15 mins) but the views are unmatched. Sylvia went above and beyond for us picking us up and dropping us off at the bus station. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cortona.

Amazing breakfast and first class service. Host was very attentive to details, the property is beautiful. Location is great, walking distance to a working monastery and to the town of Cortona. A peaceful spot and very safe. Beds were comfortable and the room was well appointed.

Place was quiet and comfortable, and exceptionally clean. We were treated to an incredible spread of delicious treats for breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful recommending places of interest and tips for where to find a good dinner. Would definitely return when in the area.

Staying here was amazing. We were in the heart of Cortona, which was so peaceful compared to busier areas of Italy. Very authentic. Sylvia made the entire stay wonderful. The hospitality here is unmatched. The food is delicious. The rooms are cute and the view...the view is stunning. I am so happy we decided to stay here!! I would 10/10 recommend. Taxis were hard to find, but Silvia drove us whenever we couldn't find a taxi. She is so friendly and welcoming. On top of that, we had a lovely breakfast buffet every morning. I enjoyed sitting outside looking at the view while eating. Their cappuccinos were fantastic, and the table is already set up before you arrive. Dinner is the same way. It's the little touches like that that made the stay top tier. They pay attention, get to know their guests, and genuinely love what they do. Also, the food was AMAZING. I love that they have their own bistro there and that we didn't have to plan where to go eat a couple of nights during our visit. It was easily my favorite restaurant in Italy. I cannot compliment Locanda Agli Amici enough, but especially Sylvia, who made the stay so warm and welcoming. I hope we get to visit again.

We spent a wonderful week here. Very quiet and relaxing which is just what we were looking for. Sylvia and Claudio did everything to make our stay perfect. The Locanda is newly refrubished, ultra clean and comfortable. Torreone is a small town with just a few houses and a nice bar/cafe, other than the Locanda. It's a pleasant walk into Cortona town. There are a few inclines to deal with depending on which route you take, but we found it absolutely fine. A good way to walk off all the fantastic meals we had. Amazing breakfast and be sure to check out Organika in Cortona which is run by the same team. Highly recommended.

The manager of this establishment, Silvie, was wonderful. We missed the turn to get to the property & she offered to come find us. This is an experience I never received in all my travels. She went above & beyond to accommodate us.

Fantastic, highly recommend.

An amazing property that is managed with love and care. The location was easy to find using Google Maps and we parked at the door. The view was spectacular, the service was incredible and the evening meal on the terrace was one of the best we have had. A refreshing pool and a 5 star breakfast buffet to set us up for the day.

Our overall experience at this hotel has been amazing from start to finish, Silvia make us feel so welcome and went out of her way to make our stay one we will remember. At check in I mentioned I was gluten intolerance the next day at breakfast there was a homemade GF cake. So helpful with local information. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had an amazing shower all cleaned to a high standard. Beautiful pool and terrance area. We will be going back.

A Heartfelt Home Away from Home – Thanks to Silvia! Absolutely incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, Silvia made us feel like longtime friends returning home. Her warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality were truly spectacular in every way. The food was nothing short of amazing—every meal felt like a lovingly prepared feast. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with every need thoughtfully covered, making our stay effortlessly comfortable. We loved that we could easily walk into Cortona proper—such a charming town to explore. It’s also a perfect jumping-off point to visit other stunning Tuscan cities. Accueil sympathique, en français malgré mon épouse italienne, petit hôtel comme nous les aimons, chambre propre, spacieuse bien équipée, Wifi performant, belle vue sur la vallée embrumée en ce mois de décembre. Lieu calme, le service du petit déjeuner est excellent, un personnel dévoué à la clientèle, dommage que nous n’ayons pu le prendre en terrasse (température), un large choix pour le buffet ; et le tout dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
