"Although the furnishings may be outdated, and the castle is a good drive uphill on an Italian twisty-road… we were very happy with our stay here: it’s a castle room! We enjoyed it. Be prepared for bird song in the morning, and beautiful valley vistas. Bring your wine and snacks: there are no shops around! Breakfast was included and it was good. Parking is a bit downhill but on property. Add 15 minutes to your expected drive to all area attractions and you will be fine. Enjoy Giomici castle! "

"Posizione perfetta .. in pieno centro, a pochi passi dalla stazione. Qualche disavventura con acqua calda e wifi (i telefoni in camera e in balcone non funzionano) tv ... basterbbe poco per renderlo un buon soggiorno. Inclusa una colazioncina da due soldi. Avere il bollitore in camera, ma neanche acqua o una bustina di té, o un bicchiere ... tanto vale non metterlo. Chi lo gestisce gentilissima nel risolvere gli inconvenienti"

"The hostess did what she could to fix the issues, but the listing should be made more accurate. It is actually a shared apartment with other renters. The private part is only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. You can also use a common area that has a table, but it is shared with others staying there. The checkout is actually 10am, not 2pm as listed and a person entered our rooms at 10:30 to start cleaning. The breakfast included is at a train station that you need to drive to but without parking. "I’ve stayed at Hotel Giotto twice now and it’s such a great place. The views are amazing from the room. The spa was a great way to unwind from all the walking. We had dinner there for two nights that was impressive, the duck dish was a unique dish that I thought was amazing. They also have parking, which is unique for Assisi Also even though is in a ZTL zone , it’s not photo enforced so you can drive directly to the hotel and park there. "
