"The renovations to the main buildings over the last 2 years have been done to a very high standard. Rooms are modern and now have the benefit of good air conditioning. Restaurant areas are much improved and food remains excellent. The breakfast room is a delight and breakfast food is of a high standard. Staff are very friendly and helpful. "We had a great time, made even nicer by the excellent host Catherine who has intimate knowledge of the area. The lodge is ideally located within 10' walk from a vibrant town centre and is right by all cycling and walking routes across the hills and vineyards. Highly recommended!"

"It is a lovely building and the room was large and a beautiful period space. The pool area and grounds felt a little worn and uncared for and breakfast was ok but not great. No hot running water in the room, which wasn’t a massive issue for one night on a hot day but perhaps suggests this is being run on a budget. Worth being aware that no air conditioning so on a hot summer night, it wasn’t easy to sleep well with just an old, inexpensive fan plugged in in the room."
