"Spacious and elegant rooms with convenient location close to the gothic cathedral iright in front the cruise terminal and Centro Botin. Our room had nice views of the bay. It is a 35 minute walk to Playa Magdalena, so you might find better to rent a bike, to make it easier to move to the other beaches and around town. We drove into Santander and found the free on site parking very convenient. I parked myself and it was quite an experience since you access the parking space on a car lift. I enjoyed it. for the faint of heart, they do have valet parking service available."

Perfectly located directly across from the iconic Guggenheim Museum, this 5-star property doesn’t just offer a place to sleep—it immerses you in art, design, and Bilbao’s vibrant energy from the moment you arrive. The location is unbeatable. Waking up to sweeping views of Frank Gehry’s architectural wonder right outside your window (especially from the higher floors or suites) is pure magic. The hotel’s design, a collaboration featuring artist Javier Mariscal, feels like an extension of the Guggenheim itself. The interiors are a stunning museum of 20th-century furniture and bold, whimsical details—think curated art installations, thoughtful contemporary touches, and spaces that spark creativity at every turn. Whether you’re in Bilbao for the museums, architecture, or Basque cuisine, this hotel elevates the entire trip. It’s not just accommodation—it’s part of the cultural experience. "This is an A+ hotel outside of Bilbao near the harbor beach, the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. The 2 person shower room is very luxurious. The staff is very welcoming and the service is superb. We had an electrical issue (the lighting would not turn off correctly) and the engineer fixed it very promptly. The breakfast spread is one of the best I've encountered in a long time, and the welcome drink on the terrace, ovlooking the harbor was a very nice touch. We were there during the outset of the heatwave, and the pool is very refreshing. There clearly is a water cooling syst to keep it that way and I suspect it can also heat the water in cooler weather. If you are in Bilbao and don't mind paying up a bit, this hotel should be on your list."

"Booked a basic room, which is ok for our night stop over. Always clean and very comfortable, with great views over the estuary. We have used this hotel twice a year for several years with no complaints. On our last trip we found slight damp in the corners of the wall behind the large window curtains. We were immediately upgraded to a better room. No fuss. No blame. ( first time ever we have found a fault). All the staff (including cleaners) have always been Polite. Friendly and very professional every time we have stayed at the hotel. Evening meals are well prepared and very tasty. Well presented and hot. Our waiter was fantastic. Chatty and could not do enough to make our meal time memorable. Breakfast buffet is very well presented, both for continental style meals and English breakfast and there is lots of it. We have the same staff member (when we visit twice a year), who puts in a lot of effort to make sure we enjoy our meals there. What is also good is that the hotel is on the estuary with great views, and is literally a very easy 5 minutes drive to the main port. well worth a visit."

"When we checked in the reception staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on local travel and parking in the city. Our room on the 5th floor was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had a really good breakfast and the midday check out meant no hurry. Parking garage was safe and secure with large spaces and plenty of room. A real benefit. Thanks!"
