"If one spends time reading the novel attributed to this property, somewhere it mentions the queen bunk being only bed. Whats not mentioned, is that it's an un-engineered excuse for a ladder with parts from a plumbing section with some sheet metal screws as fastners. 6'5" 250 doesn't work and will inevitably lead to someone getting hurt. "We used this property for a family gathering of over 20 people. There was plenty of room for everyone. The pictures of the property were very accurate. Sara was extremely communicative and even helped me by giving us a name of a good tire guy when we accidentally flattened 2 tires taking the boat to the ramp. The pool was our favorite hang out spot along with the huge screened in porch. It's hard to see the lake from the porch but it is right there and still has a very good view of lots of beautiful trees. You can hear the waterfall if there has been rain. The home is well stocked with everything that you can think of, plus has life jackets and lake toys."

"I booked this on my way home from a work trip in KS. I booked the particular motel in KS over other choices because it had a hot tub. when I got there, it was not working and wouldn't be for some time. So, I chose this property on the way home because it had a hot tub in hopes to make up for the one I missed out on at the other place. I got to the property and this hot tub had water in it. But when I got closer, there was a handwritten sign that it was closed! In both places, the pool was still functional. I paid significantly more for this property than the others around it with no hot tub just to get a hot tub. I regret that. Apparently, this entire trip I was not meant to get a motel with a hot tub! The rest of the motel was as expected for the level of motel it is. Clean, although the room smelled of shampooed carpet like after pets or smoke. The room also backed up to a train track, and the train was a bit loud in the middle of the night. the front desk has a cutesy little thing about "don't like our train? Here's earplugs". I didn't understand what that meant until around 4 AM! I just did my best to ignore it, but did leave a little earlier in the morning than I would have if I had slept better."

"Pleasant check in. However, things went downhill from there. Because we used Expedia (saved $20 per night), the owner said “You did not pay enough to receive $15 an hour room service”. So we had to buy our own trash bags, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, take out our own trash daily and were initially charged for additional clean towels. This while being charged additional pet fees. Each day we had new pests (ticks, roaches, and another bug I have yet to identify) to greet us. Breakfast had juices which had expired two months earlier, Walmart yogurt and oatmeal. However, they did allow us to check out late as I had confused the date of our departure. Don’t recommend."
