"Bedding and bathroom were generally clean. There were quite a few stains in carpets and walls. Was hoping there was a fridge but there wasn’t. Parking you have 2 options atm- a well lit multistory or a public carpark 2 mins walk away. The staff at check in were friendly. I did ask if i could have a pastry and coffee to purchase separately instead of going for the buffet- the night staff said it depended on who was on in the morning but when i asked- i was rejected immediately. There’s plenty of tea and coffee in the room which was handy as i was studying most of the evening so they got me through. They provide a WhatsApp number which they reply to quite quickly. This is a great idea and i was very impressed."

"This is a nice convenient hotel, off the M1 near Daventry but still a couple of miles to the town centre. It’s certainly a big hotel and seems to do a lot of events and conferences. There’s a small bar with some food but I didn’t find it very homely as it’s at the side of the giant entrance. I’m pretty sure the staff are friendly and helpful but the lady I checked in with initially couldn’t find my booking and became very curt as though I’d made an error in booking or something so I showed her my booking and she still couldn’t find it almost to a point where she was saying ‘well you haven’t booked’ but then suddenly she found my booking and all was fine but there was no apology etc and then she asked abruptly if I’d checked my car in and I replied yes but she said ‘did you check in as a conference guest’ I didn’t as I was a four night overnight guest and she told me off for not booking as a conference guest as that was free apparently as though I was supposed to just guess this. So my initial impression wasn’t great. Free parking welcome though. My room was very comfortable and clean and warm but the bathroom a tad dated. I have to say though that the room was changed everyday and everything tidied, with towels changed and bin emptied etc which is something not often done these days."

"The staff make the experience here. It’s set in nice grounds. The wings housing the bedrooms are starting to wage but bar restaurants and pool all good. At reception the welcome and service was first class. The staff in bar and restaurant also very good. Food was also good . All in all nice stay"
