Valparaiso - Amazing Views

Enjoy the sundrenched vista of the Crescent Head coast and valley from this charming, modern beach house. Ideal for a family, or two couples, seeking a peaceful getaway, high among the tree tops, and only minutes away by car (or a short walk down the hill) from all that Crescent Head has to offer - beaches, golf, tennis, shops and local area bushwalks.

Upstairs is an airy loft with a queen and single bed. Downstairs is the master room with a queen bed and study area. The house is best suited for up to a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids - noting that the bedding provided in the loft is a queen bed and one single bed.

NBN wifi connection available and included if you want to WFH at Creso. If you don't mind the steps or a longer circuit, you can walk to the beach and creek and stop in at the local shops for inner-city grade coffee and muffins on your way. There is also an IGA, butcher, bakery, several cafes and the Country Club to name but a few of the amenities.
Surfers have long known about the point break on the main beach. But other options include a short drive to back beach, and riding the tide in Killick Creek is also lots of fun.
The main deck is enclosed with a gate, and a high chair and cot are available for babies. However, the house is not suitable for toddlers 1-5yo with all the steps and heights.

Linens and essential items

All bedlinen provided including sheets, quilts, blankets and pillows. Bath towels and bath mats also included, but please bring your own beach towel. You will find all the usual essential items like toilet paper, tissues, cleaning products, washing powder, tea towels and so on. Basic pantry items also ready for your use including foil, cling wrap and the important coffee and tea making items.
Don't worry if you forgot shampoo and body wash - travel size shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap are included to start you off or get you through the weekend. Hair dryer and hair straightener are also available for use during your stay.

Driving - mostly all dual lane carriageway - about 2 hours from Hexham and 4 hours from Hornsby.

Extremely well appointed and inviting property

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Comfortable bed and very well appointed kitchen. Minor issues. There was a slight issue with an overhead window leaking on the lounge which caused the lounge to be a bit smelly. The bathroom would benefit from some type of shower caddy. Stairs are quite steep to the loft bedroom.

Great House in a Great Location

My family of four loved staying at Valaprasio. The house is spacious with two large bedrooms and a large living area. We loved whiling away our days playing Monopoly (while taking in the spectacular view) then heading down to Killick Creek to float into the ocean. Sue was an amazing host and incredibly responsive, which made the trip just so much more pleasurable. It was our first time in Crescent Head and staying at this house, we will definitely return.

Beautiful coastal home

We absolutely loved our stay here as a family of four. The home has a beautiful coastal and homely feel with the most amazing view. The house had absolutely everything we needed - and then some! Despite being set on the hill, the walk to and from the beach was easy (even with little ones).Thank you Sue!

Welcoming property with amazing views

My family had a fantastic stay at Valparaiso - the property is located on a hill with amazing views over the beach at Crescent Head and the hinterland and was very clean, welcoming and thoughtfully stocked with everyday items. The communication with the host was excellent and we received many tips for a great stay at Crescent Head. We'd go back anytime!

Such a beautiful house with a magnificent view and a large deck on which to sit and enjoy it. It was so quiet and peaceful and the house is a joy to be in. We could hear the sound of the sea and were literally above the little town and beach away from the holiday crowd but still able to walk to both very quickly.

Amazing view, great house for a beach holiday!

We had 2 kids (6 and 9) and 4 adults (2 couples) stay very comfortably, the house was well provisioned with everything we needed . Thanks for the welcoming wine, chocolates and treats for the kids! Communication with Sue very easy and prompt. The pool noodles downstairs were much appreciated for floating down the waterway as the tide went out. The beds were comfortable, and the view is incredible! (every meal overlooking the ocean). Highly recommend!

A little gem of a holiday property

We enjoyed a week at Crescent Head prior to Christmas 2022 staying at this property, perched high above the gorgeous little enclave of Crescent Head (population about 1500). The kitchen was well equipped and spacious, the fridge a great size and the beds comfortable with clean linen and quality toiletries provided. For visitors bringing children the upper mezzanine floor has a QS bed and 2 singles, with another QS bedroom downstairs that can be closed off. The weather was cool when we stayed, so we were fairly comfortable with the sea breezes when it was sunny, however there is no airconditioning if that is important to you. TV/lounge area was lovely and comfortable and this is a rare property where the owners have provided a decent sound system instead of just a token flat screen TV. A well equipped laundry and drying area is provided. House would suit couples and small young families - Crescent Head has a perfect beach and estuary for swimming and frolicking - it’s truly gorgeous. The bakery is a stand out. We also took advantage during our stay of a short day trip to South West Rocks and Trial Bay to see the lighthouse and the old gaol. We only had one very minor issue - on a day where we were staying inside the house due to inclement weather, the owner had arranged for a gentleman to whipper-snipper the entire property (top to bottom) …due to allergies we had to close up the house and would have preferred the owner to let us know in advance that this noisy maintenance would be occurring whilst we were paying guests in situ. Our stay ended on a Wednesday morning so presumably there were days before the next guest would be arriving in which to plan such garden maintenance? Other than this minor (literal) irritation we were satisfied with the property and would happily stay again. Thanks!

Superb holiday house 5*

Valparaiso is superb in every way. The host Sue made us feel welcome from the moment we booked. Great communication. And very accommodating. Very easy check-in. Clear and concise instructions to guide us to, and into, the house. House kitted out with anything we could possibly need for our stay. Steep but easy walk into town. Gorgeous house. Lovely garden. Spectacular views.

Fantastic weekend getaway

We had an incredible weekend. The house is pristine and beautifully decorated with fantastic views of the entire bay from the large balcony. A lot of lunches and dinners at the table on the balcony. We stayed with four adults but the house would also be perfect for larger families and children. Check in and check out was a breeze. Already looking forward to returning!

Perfect Family Holiday Getaway

Great location and the property is everything you want in a holiday home. Amazing outlook and great place to relax on the deck for a BBQ and some drinks. Great for families, kitchen has everything, beds were comfortable and the house was very clean and well looked after. Recommendations from the host for everything you need in the area and places to visit. Highly recommend and will stay again.

The best trip

We just had the most amazing 3 night stay at sues house in crescent. The view was amazing and the house is just perfect. Super nice to chill on the deck and watch the waves, and an easy walk to town. Will definitely stay again. Thank you sue!

Amazing views, beautiful house

We had the best time staying at Valparaiso. The house was beautifully styled, well set up for guests and very comfortable. Sue has though of everything you could need for a week/weekend away, particularly in the kitchen and for TV/internet. We were even greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were really comfortable and the views were amazing. The best place I’ve stayed in crescent head and will absolutely be going back. Sue was teally easy to deal with and the price was great value - and we had no issues at all with the logistics. Highly recommend for a weeks holiday or even a long weekend if driving from Sydney.

Views to die for!

My husband and I had the most perfect stay at this gorgeous beach house! Everything was so cosy, warm and welcoming- we immediately relaxed and had the perfect getaway. It has been so thoughtfully set up with wonderful little extras to spoil their guests. It was so enjoyable to sit at the dining table inside and outside to watch for the whales - also importantly, it was very clean, and a great renovation was truly enjoyed by us. It was our first time to Crescent Heads and we both relished the views, the walks, the home! Thank you to our hosts for their generosity in the way they set the home up to spoil your guests - we will certainly be returning. (oh yes must mention beautiful linen and such comfortable beds! )
