"Beautiful inn with very friendly and helpful staff. The room is definitely older but things are very well maintined and working. The reason I reduced a star is because there was hair in bed and cushions smell a bit old."

"The Property is nice, but our stay in Historic Cabin A left us sleeping in our car on property after we found a live bat flying around inside our cabin and no way to contact staff after normal operation house that ended at 7PM.
I was assured by property staff the next morning that the fair would be refunded immediately and they were very sorry for the inconvenience on my honeymoon.
6 days later and I still don’t have a refund, and no returned phone calls."
"A Best Western or a Hilton it ain't, but there was really nothing wrong with Dawson House Lodge. The air conditioning was ample and easy to operate. A notice posted in the room warned of draconian penalties for smoking in the room, but I checked out smoothly the next morning without any smoking inspection to verify compliance.
The information notebook in the room had, among many materials, menus from the two cafes across the road, KJ's and the Ponderosa Lounge. Neither was open when I went out...
