Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry, Shropshire
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were cheerful, and helpful. The bedrooms were clean, comfy, with large T.V. Modern ensuite bathroom with choice of bath or shower, AND quality toilet paper. If I was being picky, the only thing thing the bedroom lacked was a fridge and a lift to the 2nd floor. The hotel is also dog friendly and allowed in the bar area if you want food. The hotel carpark, was also operated by a barrier which gave piece of mind. I would definitely use the hotel again if stopping in the area."

"Brilliant stay, the building was full of character, the staff were super friendly and it always had a good vibe about it. Food looked spot on, we didnt eat there ourselves as we had other plans already but loads of people were. Location was bang in town and it is beautiful, perfect all round"

"Everything about the hotel was amazing loved our room was bright yellow staff were so lovely 😍 a really sweet girl took us to our room she was so polite 😊 food was yummy especially breakfast"
Lion and Pheasant Hotel

"Liked its atmosphere, friendly staff and cleanliness. However, struggled to sleep in room at front of property due to noise of boy racers exhausts late at night. The mattress on the bed of our room was also bad and left one of us with back ache. We were also left slightly disappointed with the breakfast. The full English was undercooked and in some places, overly salty. My American pancakes were awful. I’m not sure what the chef was thinking. They were fried, looked nothing like pancakes and tasted poor."

"We stayed at this hotel for the last night of our 4 day South-North Wales road trip. After spending 3 full days trekking, sightseeing and driving, it was a perfect end to a brilliant road trip. The hotel was welcoming and super comfortable and the spa experience before we headed home on our final morning was a perfect relaxing finish. The backdrop of the hotel was stunning and the grounds were perfectly maintained and postcard pretty. Would absolutely have no hesitation recommending this hotel."

"Wellbeing areas too many rooms down and jacuzzi down again. My bedroom windows were very old and didn't keep the noise out from the below generator or some kind of ventilation system."
