"We LOVED the Howler House. Shanna was an excellent host. She communicated early about transportation and helped us get a tour booked to see the Mayan Ruins and a Ziplining tour. Without her our traveling experience would have been challenging. We loved being in the jungle and seeing the howler monkeys right off the deck was such a cool experience. We were concerned about the bugs but that was not an issue as long as you keep the house doors closed. The bikes were a huge plus to explore the small town. "

"Absolutely amazing views! Staff were phenomenal and extremely friendly! Food was great, very quiet and serene! The property sits right on a lake at the mouth of the river that runs right into the Mayan ruin of Lamanai one of the most beautiful ruins there is. It’s very quiet at night and very peaceful. It was my first time and first night in Belize and I was blown away! The property sits about 10 mins by taxi from the center of town. I took the bus directly out front to Belize City and it was very convenient to catch the local chicken bus. I would highly recommend this place to fellow travelers. Thanks again to the entire staff! "The Gecko Bungalow is an amazing property! The location is quiet, yet not too far from the airport. We stayed 1 night in the two bedroom bungalow. The bungalow had everything you could think of and everything you forgot at home. Both bedrooms had a/c and there were fans in every room so we were very cool and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The bungalow felt like a home. It was fully stocked with everything. Michelle picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Michelle is attentive and went out of her way and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Michelle also set up transportation for us to dinner. I would also recommend dinner at the Shrimp Farm. Dinner was amazing. The grounds at the Gecko Bungalow are absolutely stunning! You feel like you are away in your own private jungle oasis. I can't say enough about this property. You really have to experience it for yourself! We would definitely recommend staying at the Gecko Bungalow and we will be returning for a longer stay."

"My wife and I found James and Audrey’s place very reasonably priced and quite comfortable. It was spotless with very nice amenities. Quick and easy access to the airport and very peaceful. James is an excellent host and we would definitely do this again!"
