"If you are a couple traveling in southern Spain, you really want to spend time here! Especially if you want peace and tranquility. Everything is as beautiful as the photos. The owners live on the property and are very kind people who seemed genuine about wanting the best experience for us. They gave us total privacy unless we wanted to talk to them. The casita and pool are in their lush garden and the trees makes you feel you are all on your own. Our stay was 5 days and we wished we planned a longer stay. "We stayed at this property recently and, unfortunately, had some unexpected issues. After arriving, the owner informed us that we would need to pay extra for electricity if we used the air conditioner. This was not mentioned in the listing, which clearly states that the property has air conditioning, there should have been a clear note that it's charged separately. And the air conditioner was not working in of the room, so we end up putting all my 3 children to sleep in the leaving room where we use the fire as we use the chimney at night.After we left the owner also asked us to pay an additional cleaning fee due to the condition of the kitchen and a bedsheet that had a some small bloodstain from my son's bleeding leg. However, we left the kitchen tidy, with all rubbish placed in a bag. There were no instructions on where to dispose of the garbage, and in any case, cleaning should be included in the rental, just as it is in hotels and many similar properties we've stayed at across Europe.On first morning the owner led us to the villige the road was muddy, and steep which resulted in us getting stuck for several hours. The road access to the property is difficult and should be taken into consideration by future guests.Overall, I feel the extra charges should be clear on the advert and lack of transparency were disappointing. It’s important that all additional costs and road conditions are clearly stated in the listing so that guests can make an informed decision."

"Very comfortable apartment, top floor with good views. Parking was very easy (wide entrance) and felt secure. Good location, very short walk to the Alcazaba, short walk down into town. Views from rooftop was beautiful. Only thing to note was that a) cleaners in the morning were loud & came into our room with knocking and b) likely because we were on the top floor, the wifi was weak."

"Great hotel for a 2 star. I think it deserves 3! It's nice to be welcomed by an actual person unlike many places nowadays. Receptionist was lovely & spoke great English. Hotel is very clean & well-maintained. Romms are comfy, great bathroom & shower. Fantastic location also."

"Beautiful expansive property the grounds surrounding the main traditional "Spanish Villa-style hotel building are as fabulous and beautifully maintained as the building itself. We had drinks and tapas in the bar, and a delicious dinner in the restaurant that was open all day so as we were travel weary it was nice not to have to wait until 8/9-ish to eat dinner. Large choice of wines as well. Everything is clean and comfortable: Bedrooms & ensuite bathrooms are also traditional style ours looked out onto the walled lawns again lawn & shrubs trees well-kept and in the room everything works! Nice hot showers & baths meticulously clean! Plenty of parking - we had a rental car. we didn' get a chance to try the modern gym/pool facility though. We're coming back!"
