Everything was unique about this place, the location, the warm and generous host, her dog Twiggy. We had a delicious breakfast every morning including freshly made crepes. At the last minute we were given a ride to the nearest train station ! I will never forget Nicole and her place. Ligia

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Rooms were comfortable, well appointed and with good amenities. The bed was comfortable. Rooms were well insulated. The location was quiet. Great value. We would stay here again.

Bruno de la Palme and his wife Marion were exceptional hosts. Bruno is extremely knowledgeable of local wines, local producers, and frankly general knowledge. His wine tours cannot be missed. Conversations were full of interesting facts and details, especially relating to wine. We were treated as if we were long lost friends staying at their home.

The hosts were wonderful- helpfull and polite. The breakfast was delicious with homemade jam and yogurt and fluffy eggs! We would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Folklore Boutique Hotel in Sancerre. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and full of charm—the perfect place to stay while visiting this wonderful wine region. Our room was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and felt both modern and very much in keeping with the character of Sancerre. This is the perfect spot if you just need a simple, highly efficient place to stay. The rooms are basic but get the job done, and having a restaurant downstairs along with a genuinely good breakfast makes the whole stay incredibly convenient.

Excellent condition rooms and friendly welcoming staff.

The home was classical French, in my mind anyhow, which made it perfect. The room was on the third floor so, perhaps, not ideal for folks with disabilities, but there were other rooms, and I enjoyed the walk up the stairs. No elevator was available. The home was enclosed behind a secure fence with a coded gate. The grounds were neatly landscaped and presented a felling of serenity and relaxation, which was so appreciated after an overnight flight of 8 hours.
