We arrived late the first evening so we were happy to discover we could access the lodge with the dial pad entry. The room appeared nice, but after further inspection I started to notice there was quite a bit of damage all over. I started to document things so we wouldn’t be charged for any of it. My youngest wanted to sleep on the pull out couch, which we discovered had wads of hair and dirt below and behind the couch. After folding the bed out there were all sorts of dead bugs covering the mattress protector. It’s also something to note that there is only AC in the common area. The towels had a bad scent as if they were left in the washer too long. The grill didn’t look like it has been cleaned. The dishes are most likely washed by previous users so I recommend washing thoroughly again or bringing your own utensils and dishes. And if you plan on staying here to enjoy a private fire pit like we did, please check the local burn bans first. We enjoyed the quiet area that it’s located at. Our kids enjoyed playing basketball and exploring in the woods out back. We liked the private parking spot. The porch was a nice hangout spot, but would like it better if it was facing the woods out back. It was an easy drive to all parks in the area and we really enjoyed the town.

The cabin was really clean and modern. We really appreciated that there were some games in the cabin for the nights it stormed. The person running the store even had her husband bring over a cribbage board when we asked if they had one. It was close to a lot of attractions but far enough away that it didn't feel too "peopley". Everything was very fresh and comfortable.
