Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Minneapolis West, MN

8/10 Good

"The property as a whole was nice. The few interactions with the staff was good. They were nice & helpful when needed. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioner kept the room very cool. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast. The only complaint would be the slow drain in the bathroom. The sink & tub drained very slowly causing a backup."

"Nice location"

Rarely available Lake home for your getaway.

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful lake house. It’s a perfect blend of what a casual lake house ought to be — with high quality amenities. Unlike many more sterile VRBO places that we have stayed in over the years, this home is saturated in love, warmth, and hospitality. You can tell that the owners love this place. It’s very family friendly while still offering high quality living space. If you love to cook their kitchen is a dream! They have every conceivable utensil you could possibly want plus all kinds of wonderful and helpful appliances—not just a coffee maker, but an espresso machine! The purpose of our trip was to visit our son, who is currently a professor at a local university here in the Minneapolis area. This rare gem allowed us to immediately settle in and enjoy our time together as a family. The host's attention to detail for making is feel welcome included a wonderful white bow tied around the mailbox as well as instructions on how to use the kayaks (great fun! Highly recommend!) The lake house is conveniently located so you really feel like you are out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, but in reality you are three minutes from all manner of restaurants and conveniences. While Gleason Lake is not great for swimming, you can kayak and paddle board. The wide variety of water birds is amazing! We enjoyed the nightly sunsets. Even the day it poured rain was fun and rejuvenating. This is a true home away from home with generous and kind hosts."
