The lake lowers in the Winter months, it varies due to precipitation and according to the TVA controls. Water typically begins filling in March in our cove. However this is TVA controlled and we cannot make promises on water levels. Check the TVA site for current and expected conditions by time of year.
Our close cabin is immersed in nature which most love! However, this means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, fox, and more! You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view. We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat for all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the our wooded location, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. We immediately respond and treat if anything comes up and have found it is rare to come across anything like this.

We loved the views and the beautiful home. The kids loved all the space that they had for activities. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The property is isolated, which is very good for us. We are not exactly a quiet family. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Nice and roomy. The only thing I did not like was that we could not find any outside lighting around the house. Otherwise, the property was worked well for our family. :)

The property is large and we had plenty of room for our multi-family situation (Grandma and Grandpa included). The three decks facing the lake provided ample opportunity to maximize the view and to spread out. The beds were very comfy too. If you have very young or older guests you MUST rent a golf-cart from Good 'Ol Boys (trust me). Katrina was amazing and super helpful in every communication.

This house was perfect for us ages 20 to 64. We had everything we needed at the house for a great time. 2 full kitchens with plenty of dishes and small appliances. Boat rental just a few miles down the road. Close enough to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. We rented a boat and spent a day at Dollywood and rested and relaxed at the house. Loved the daybeads on the lower porch. Exceeded expectations! I will say the hike from the lake is strenuous. I need to do it daily for a few weeks. If your not in shape consider renting a Golf cart or UTV.

We just spent an incredible week at this beautiful lake house on Douglas Lake in Dandridge, TN, with our family—my wife, our two adult children, and our two little dogs. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The house is even more stunning in person, with all the comforts of home and a breathtaking view of the lake.
The location is perfect—secluded enough to feel like a true getaway, but close enough to town for any essentials. We spent our days fishing, kayaking, and just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Evenings were all about family dinners on the deck, enjoying the sunset over the water. The house had everything we needed, and the attention to detail made our stay so comfortable.
Our dogs loved it too—plenty of space for them to explore, and they quickly settled into the relaxed vibe. We loved waking up to the sound of the lake and the fresh air. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend quality time together as a family.
We highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a serene and picturesque retreat. We'll definitely be coming back!
