"This hotel exceeded our expectations! All the staff made our stay perfect in all regards. A big thank you to Sherife who really helped us to catch the ferry to Zanzibar. I don’t think we could have managed without her assistance. We’re from Australia and travelling the world on bicycles so very grateful for that. The food was outstanding and catered for my dietary requirements with no problem. Highly recommend staying here! "

"Staying at the Golden Tulip was fantastic. Historic charm, delightful staff, delicious food. It is an old hotel that was much more grand in yesterday year. While aged, it could use a few upgrades (my bed was a bit lumpy) but all in all, charming and convenient and well worth the price."
