The gentleman who check us in was very helpful and nice. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, although we did check in at night but it had been raining all weekend. The shower in our room was decorated nicely and the room was comfortable.

Nice, quiet getaway if you are looking to lay low. Not a lot to do in this very small town, but chilling was our goal. Food at hotek restaurant was really good, but cocktails need some work. For coffee, a cute little coffee shop is across the street with wonderful garden features and outdoor seating. Very friendly owner showed us around and gave us the history of his place.

Overall, this was a wonderful area and very quiet for our 4th of July getaway. Our room was very lovely (the bed was super comfy) and the staff very friendly. Our shower was a bit of a mess at the build kept causing water to pool out due to it's lack of ability to drain correctly. Our balcony view was enjoyable and allowed us to keep watching the fireworks that were happening all the way down on St. Simons and Jekyll Island. Good sized gym and pool area and there were a handful of local eateries that were walkable from our hotel as well.

Place was nice and very clean. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we booked a “superior” view room and got an awkward corner room with a balcony right next to another room’s. The room was massive, but we more-so cared about the view, which we didn’t really get much of. Very strange given the photos in the listing suggested a nicer look at the river.
