The Space:
The main home features a large eat-in kitchen with large butcher block island and large dining area and comfortable family room. The downstairs bedroom has a single over full bunk bed, and the Master bedroom upstairs has a King bed offering plenty of room for up to 5 guests! Just minutes to Bloody Point beach and Daufuskie Island amenities. The small house next door is not for rent, as that is for owner's use only. However, you are welcome to enjoy the quiet, tranquil surroundings on the enormous deck between the two houses.

Please note: The island is accessible by passenger only ferry, Daufuskie’s isolation from the hustle and bustle of the mainland provides a one-of-its-kind experience for those looking to truly get away from it all. No worries on logistics, as Daufuskie Rental Group team is dedicated to making your visit to Daufuskie a pleasant one, and we help with all aspects of your trip, including providing contacts to book your ferry, ground transportation, and golf cart rental.
1) Daufuskie Rental Group makes a good faith effort to describe island amenities, including restaurants and pools. However, please note that we are not responsible for the availability of amenities that we do not operate and that are beyond our control. Please contact the vendors directly for rates, days and hours of operation. Amenities are not included and fees apply.
2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These must be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)
3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be extremely popular.
Interaction with Guests:
We will text you the entry code and Wi-Fi password on the day of arrival once the unit is ready. If you arrive early afternoon, you are welcome to put your luggage on the porch until the unit is ready.
