Gulf Front - 5BR - 2BA - 120 Steps to Beach!

120 steps to the Gulf takes 1.5 minutes through private beach access! Barefoot Bungalow has amazing ocean views while spotting dolphins from the porch or playing cards with the family in the kitchen. At 2000 sq ft, guests can relax and unwind in comfort. High speed internet and Dish on 5 flat screen TV's help families stay connected. Guests should take advantage of deep-sea fishing, local restaurants, a quick bike ride to ice cream and even golf along the Gulf. We hope you enjoy our home!

Barefoot Bungalow has 2 desks for working or virtual school, lamps in the bedrooms have USB ports for charging devices, a charcoal grill, a loft area that can be a cozy reading nook or place to play games, a large front porch that also wraps around the side with ocean views, a pack and play and booster seat available for our favorite little guests, family board games and books, a DVD player to watch movies, a fully stocked kitchen, 8 bicycles, and finally bath towels, beach towels, and sheets are included. We also have sand toys and beach chairs for your time at the beach. Our driveway holds a maximum of 4 vehicles and parking on the street is prohibited.

We loved the Barefoot Bungalow! If you are looking for a wonderful house on a quiet stretch of beach - this is the place! We loved that it was dog friendly but there was no evidence of dogs - best of all worlds! Great beach get away - even in January!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this house. The hosts were super quick at responding, the house was very spacious, and was honestly even better than the pics! Location was fantastic, there were tons of things stocked in the shed for us to use, they even had a booster chair and pack n’ play that were not listed. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Beautiful home close to the beach! Spacious, comfy, loaded with everything you need- tons of storage. This was our first year on the island & we loved it. We are already looking at next years dates! Owners are helpful & respond quickly! Our only suggestion is maybe another fridge, even a mini fridge. Our family of 11 had a heard time putting a week’s worth of food in fridge. Haha!

Wonderful house

We wanted a nice, relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got with Beach Bungalow! The walk to the beach was perfect and the views are breathtaking. The room in the house was great too. The kitchen was very well stocked as well. This house was perfect!

Delightful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barefoot Bungalow. The location is great, and we could watch the ocean waves right from the front deck with a cup of morning coffee or a glass of wine after dinner. It had everything we needed and then some for a comfortable stay. I can see how this place would be perfect for big families.

Great location!

This was our first family trip to Dauphin Island and we absolutely loved it! We had a great time riding the bicycles that were in the storage shed. The house had everything we needed and we can’t wait to go back!

What an AMAZING place

This was a great family vacation. The house is described and presented as expected. Highlights: private beach 100 yards from the deck, owners give you chairs and some great beach toys for the kids, restaurants and bars are very close by, evenings on the deck in those rockers is priceless and the Island is amazing. We are planning to book again next year.

We loved our time at Barefoot Bungalow! The view from the deck SPECTACULAR! The house is exactly as described. It was exceptionally clean, with a very well stocked kitchen, open living areas with plenty of space, and comfy beds. The location is wonderful. Just steps from the private beach and walking distance from many Island venues. Carla and Jason are fabulous hosts who respond promptly to any questions. Also, they have provided extras to add to your stay such as, beach towels, beach chairs & toys, games, etc. I would highly recommend staying at Barefoot Bungalow.

Relaxing time away

The house is spacious and comfortably cozy. Kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you would need to cook all your meals there. Great location and quiet area, beach and dining options close by. We loved being Able to walk the beach and collect seashells. We would return.

Our MN Escape

We totally enjoyed our 24-day stay. This was our 5th time on the island. This house was spacious enough to host our kids and grandkids (13 total) for a week's visit and the price was wonderful. We loved being on the Gulf side and sitting on the deck in the mornings and enjoying the ocean view with our mimosas. Thank you for a great stay!! Steve & Jean V

The Barefoot Bungalow has earned my dogs’ stamp of approval.

The perfect location to relax and unwind! Carla was the perfect host, kind and attentive. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and the weather was perfect. The house was clean and had all the accessories one would expect to find in a VRBO home. A very short walk to the beach where my dog rediscovered she was still a puppy. Dude’s best vacation!

We have always boarded our beloved dog Dude when going on vacation as a whole family. But a beach vacation? With a water dog?! He had the best vacay EVER! Early morning swims, hanging out on the deck with his humans, afternoon naps, happy hour and games at sunset. He loved the sand, water, and chill time with his favorite people and WE DID TOO! Family vacation 2022

We really loved the house, it was able to handle our crew with no problems. House was very clean, and well stocked for cooking. The only problem we had was a busted water line, but within a couple of hours of reporting this to the owners they had someone out and had it fixed. It is rare to have something fixed this quickly. This alone will place this house in our top 5 places to return to. Loved Dauphin Island. Thank you for allowing us to use your house.

Fantastic!

This house is wonderful! The best part is the view. You can see and hear the ocean from the porch, kitchen table while eating, and family room while watching TV. It makes it still feel like you’re on a special vacation even when you’re back at the house. The rockers and side tables on the porch are a perfect touch for sitting outside. The walk to the beach is easy with the paved street and a short clear sandy path of sand. The house is well stocked for all types of cooking. The beds are all comfortable and linens were clean. The towels are soft and in good condition. The house was clean and smelled good. There are so many extras in the house like beach towels, blankets, fans, games, and night lights. A lot of extra consumables were provided as well which was a very kind bonus. Communication with the owners was always easy with a quick and polite response. I loved this house and would recommend it to anyone!
