Canaan Valley, truly the mid-Atlantics playground, is nestled in the scenic Hills of West Virginia, and boasts world-class skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. With easy access to National Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuge, Wilderness areas, and two State Parks, explore the endless possibilities here. Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests.
