Horizons condo accommodates up to 6 guests with two bedrooms, two baths, and two comfortable memory foam sleeper sofa's in the living area. The large kitchen has stainless steel appliances complete with every kitchen supply you may need. This second floor unit offers miles of beautiful beachfront and the balcony is accessible from every room overlooking the ocean and pool. First, I am a seasoned traveler and have little expectation when booking a rental. This was my daughter and me on our annual beach trip. We just want a peaceful ocean stay, sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean waves. Even though the balcony door could not be used, we enjoyed our Sunday stay. Monday morning, we are awakened by the construction crew at 7 AM. Not hammering, but an awful noise like a very loud pressure washer right over our unit. We became aware that we cannot use the balcony from 8-4. But then who could sit out there with all that noise? I did not see anything in the description about construction or that the balcony could not be used during the day. The price of the rental did not reflect these major considerations. The unit not being cleaned was minor compared to the balance of our stay. The contact person came right over to make the beds and give the bathrooms and kitchen a quick wipe down.The location was excellent, the unit is spacious but very outdated. The master bathroom and vanity area is set up for handicap, and the walk-in shower is almost unusable to stand in. I have never, in all my travels, had a VRBO rental this disappointing.

Great Space and view

My brother passed away less than a year ago and our last family vacation was at Daytona Beach when we were 17 years old which was 18 years ago. When I booked this place I didn’t think about that, but when we got there on the front door was a dragonfly and the whole time we was there I felt like he was with us. Overall, the space is big and clean, I have no complaints. The handle to the balcony door was loose but that’s pretty common with most places considering they’re used often. One other thing is construction prevented us from being on the balcony during the week day but really not a big deal as we spent most of our time at the beach. Check in was a breeze and the garage parking was nice. I would like the thank the host for allowing us to stay and if we ever go back I’d love to stay again.

Enjoyed our stay. The place is quit spacious. It was clean and check in was easy. The garage parking space was a real plus! There were a few minor maintenance issue that should be addressed like the handle on the sliding glass door. But all in all a great place.

Great building, great location, nice unit

Overall, this unit was just what we needed for our trip, two adults and two 15 year old girls. The unit was spacious and clean. The building is in a great location- steps from the beach and very close to many local restaurants, shops, and places to get food and other necessities. All that being said, there were some things that could be improved. Many light bulbs were burned out and/or no bulbs at all. The master shower is a walk-in bathtub and is a very tight squeeze. It could definitely use an upgrade. The second bathroom shower head wasn’t putting out any water pressure. My hubby messed with it a little and tightened some things up and it worked better the rest of our stay. The balcony was NOT available for use from 8:00am to 4:00pm due to ongoing construction from the hurricane a few years ago. even trying to use the balcony in the early morning and late evening wasn’t hardly possible because the door from the living room wasn’t usable- the handle was broken and the door appeared to be off track. And none of the doors locked and I feel like with this being a second floor unit, that needs addressed. There was an issue on our first morning with the power being off. Not sure what happened but Alison responded to my message quickly and had it taken care of within an hour or so. We were pleased with the unit as a whole and this is the second time we’ve stayed in this building. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this unit again, but maybe after some updates and sprucing up.

Daytona International Speedway (DIS)

Only 8 miles from DIS which was the primary reason we selected this property. Several good restaurants within 1-2 miles. Overall the unit was clean and very roomy, ideal for a 5 night stay. Does need some updating to enhance the experience, particularly the bathrooms.

Perfect

We were supposed to stay in Indian Shores and then Helene hit. With non-refundable plane tickets, we decided to pivot and just change our location. The condo was clean and comfortable, larger than we expected, and the sound of the ocean right out our balcony door was spectacular! Our host was super responsive to all of our questions and made sure we got into the unit with no issues whatsoever. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and would definitely consider booking here again. Thanks so much!

Wonderful

The condo is beautiful and perfectly located. The host was amazing. I can not put into to words the kindness and generosity she showed toward my family and myself as unexpected illness put my father in the hospital for 3 1/2 days while we were staying at her beautiful condo. She showed so much care and understanding and kept communication with us the entire time. I will forever be grateful to her. I will absolutely check this location first for any future trips to Daytona.

Unit was clean but outdated. Beds were so high, it was difficult to get in and out of beds. Both bathrooms were on one side of the unit. Keys were difficult to turn in locks throughout the property.

Great stay!

Property was great for our stay for my daughter’s dance National competition. The owner was very thorough with check in process and was very simple. Was nice to have the garage to park in and extra beach chairs, boogie boards, etc that we could use during our stay. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and loved having a great ice maker/water to refill our water bottles for long competition days. The construction of the building is ongoing but had not affected our stay. They had not made it to our side of building yet. The only thing I wish I would have paid more attention to when reading the listing was the need for coins for the laundry and dryer on the floor. Thanks again!!!

Nice high rise building. The building is under major exterior construction which starts up at 8am Monday thru Friday. VERY loud. It was communicated during booking as under construction. Nice views from balcony.

Revisit after 23 years

Everthing on our vist was A+ although there was construction that was expected we were told about it in advance. If we ever get a chance to come back to Florida we will contact you first. You can be very proud of your accommodations thank you again for a wonderful visit .

Vacation

The Condo was Great in many ways, plenty of room to stretch out and relax it’s just steps from the pool or ocean. The Host was great and easy to communicate with. The Condo is perfect for the Sunrise on the ocean as we sat on the balcony everyday but the first day and watched the sunrise.

Great location - needs better maintenance and communication

Starting with the good - the location of this building was great! We loved being oceanside and it was centrally located to shopping, dining, and visiting with family in Ormond Beach. However, on the day we arrived, I had not received check-in information and to call to get it from the plane when we landed. After we collected our rental car, drove from Sanford, grabbed something to eat and got to the unit it was about 8:30 at night. We were unable to get into the building for more than 20 minutes as the owner did not answer our calls. Eventually someone came out and we were able to get in. The unit was not very clean as the shower had black mold. The "master bath" shower was unusable as it was a walk--in handicap bath/shower with a shower curtain with pink mold at the bottom. There were candy wrappers in the sofa when we arrived as well as on the floor by the master bath, and the inside lid of the trash can was filthy. I have stayed in many VRBO units and this is the first time I have been disappointed. The air unit was locked by the owner so the temperature could not be dropped below 68 degrees. In short, this unit was a disappointment. I would not stay here again.
