Foxes Den is a brand new log cabin that is located just 25 minutes outside of Boone and Blowing Rock (just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy) and is situated in a postcard like setting on 8 beautiful acres with a class A stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin. The stream, Elk Creek, is rated as the second cleanest stream in all of NC. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. There is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, and birds.

Foxes Den cabin sleeps up to 6 with two bedrooms with king beds, a queen sleeper sofa, two full baths, and a full kitchen and includes all the utensils, linens, and towels necessary to make your stay comfortable. The cabin also has a large deck with a hot tub that overlooks the stream and picnic tables where you can have a unique dining experience or simply sit and relax to the sights and sounds of the stream. There is also a gas fireplace to create a warm and cozy atmosphere on those cool mountain evenings. This cabin offers privacy with easy access in a setting that is unique and picturesque.

Clean and peaceful rental

We had a wonderful weekend stay! The cabin was very clean upon arrival and we really enjoyed being so close to the stream. It was very peaceful and quiet. The owner was also very helpful in answering questions we had ahead of our arrival. We hope to be able to visit again.

A beautiful relaxing experience

I got there ahead of everyone else and it was beautiful. The stream behind the house was so super cute. Everyone we ran into was very friendly. I would definitely do it again.

What a delightful stay the cabin was spotless and well stocked with lots of high end appliances. If you want a peaceful private place to stay this is it. The owner answered my questioned quickly. Wi if was spotty but was expected do to the location. We had a blast. Thank you

Wonderful cabin!!

The cabin had everything you could possibly need. Tubes for the creek, skewers for s'mores, and rods for fishing. Great location - about 25 minutes from 421 and easy to get to. (A rarity for most cabins!) If you use the Waze app, it recognizes the address, which makes it easier to get to! We will absolutely be back!

Fantastic Cabin!

The property was beautiful, and my kids and dog had a great time playing in the creek. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was hot. Just what we needed to get away. Finding it was an adventure as we came in from the south, and I believe the directions are from 421 to the north. But a friendly local pointed us in the right direction and we were all set!

Short three day stay

Our stay was outstanding. The property is located right on Elk Creek. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Everything looked practically new. We couldn’t think of a thing that wasn’t available. From kitchen needs (spices, appliances, cold beer glasses) to laundry (detergent, dryer sheets) to bathroom ( hair dryer, sewing kits, extra towels, first aid needs) the owners clearly anticipated guest needs. Outstanding place!!!

When can we come back?

This was our second trip this year to this particular cabin, and we had just as much fun this time. The cabin is very cozy, clean, and has many amenities. The creek in the backyard is our favorite part. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen makes cooking easy. The location is near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, and Boone. Our only wish is that the Internet was better, but that’s part of unwinding the mountains, right? Anxiously awaiting to return….

Perfect Getaway

We wanted something quiet to celebrate my husband's bday and Easter. This cabin was perfect. Impeccably clean! Quiet. I had not warned my teens about the wifi in advance- it wasn't what they were used to so we played games and enjoyed being a family! So much outdoor space to enjoy. My dogs refused to get back in the car to leave- kept going back to front porch. Everyone- including the dogs- are excited to go back!

Can't wait to go back

We had a great 3 day weekend here. The cabin was perfect, clean, smelled good when we walked in, and had lots of amenities. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and the creek. Our dog was sad to leave. I especially appreciated the washer/dryer with supplies! The beds and linens were great and we appreciated having two master bedrooms. We enjoyed the long kitchen bar to eat meals. Boone is about 35 minutes away; the mountainous roads are only about 8 miles; you get the hang of it quick. There was a lot of privacy and the directions provided by owner were great. The wifi was good for basics. We are looking forward to coming back when we can walk in the creek (it was cold).

Beautiful Property and Nice Location

We were so happy to find a little place away from it all. The cabin was fully stocked with high-end products to ensure your stay was comfortable. The creek was amazing, the hot tub nice, and the remote location a great way to get away from it all. By far one of the nicest cabins, we’ve ever stayed in, and the kitchen would rival the one you have at home with amenities and supplies. The owner certainly thought of everything from innertubes to fishing poles. I love there’s three sets of French doors you can open so the entire back of the house has fresh air coming inside. There were a few things about it though that I would change. 1. I think it’s a little much to ask someone to pay to have thhe trash hauled away when we already paid for cleaning. I don’t want to put trash in my car, nor do I want to pay when I’ve already paid so much. 2. The couch needs to be replaced. It feels like sitting on a board where the pillows are mishappen and worn down. 3. The beds are too firm. While some people might like a firm mattress, having at least one that’s a little more comfortable would be advisable for those of us with back issues. 4. We didn’t bring our pets this trip, but there were all kinds of little dog hairs on the pillowcases and pillow shams. I am not sure if the sheets on our bed were even washed or the comforter. We got an extra blanket out of the dresser to use, and it smelled like a wet dog. Overall, it's a wonderful cabin and just needs a few cleaning tweaks!

Mountain meadow magic

Cabin was very clean and well supplied with all the necessities for an enjoyable stay. We loved the stream behind the cabin and spent many hours exploring and just floating in the water. The location was near many of the activities we were looking for such as mountain climbing and river tubing. Our last night provided clear skies and we spent hours laying on a blanket and star gazing. We had a great week and really enjoyed our stay.
