    The Space:

Dog Friendly • Wood Burning Fireplace • Snowater Resort Amenities • Near Mt. Baker

Welcome to Cedar Suite, a cozy one bedroom Snowater condo designed for easy mountain getaways, quiet weekends, ski trips, and peaceful time in the forest.

Set inside the beloved Snowater Resort community in Glacier, Washington, this warm and comfortable condo gives you the best of both worlds: a private, well appointed retreat plus access to Snowater’s year round resort amenities, riverfront trails, indoor pools, hot tubs, sauna, game rooms, fitness space, sport courts, playground, BBQ areas, and beautiful Nooksack Riverfront.

Inside, Cedar Suite feels calm, simple, and inviting. The living room is bright and airy, with large windows that bring in the surrounding evergreens and give the space a treehouse-like feel. After a day at Mt. Baker, settle in by the wood-burning fireplace, stream a favorite show, play a movie, or step onto the small balcony for fresh mountain air.

The kitchen is compact and well-equipped for easy meals, coffee, snacks, and après ski dinners at home. The breakfast nook sits beside the bay windows and expands to seat four, making it a lovely spot for slow mornings, card games, or a quiet meal after a day outside.

The bedroom features a comfortable king bed and a cozy, restful feel. The living room includes a queen sleeper sofa, making the condo best suited for two guests but able to accommodate up to four when requested.

    Sleeping Layout:

    Bedroom: 1 king bed

Living Room: 1 queen sleeper sofa

Please note: Pricing is based on 2 guests. Additional guests are $25 per person, per night for use of the sleeper sofa and bedding. Sleeper sofa bedding is available upon request.

Guests also enjoy the convenience of a full bathroom, in unit washer and dryer, WiFi, smart TV, DVD player, and free parking.

Snowater Resort is one of the most loved communities in the Mt. Baker area, tucked along the Nooksack River and surrounded by forest, trails, and mountain scenery. Guests have access to two clubhouses with two heated indoor year round pools, Jacuzzi hot tubs, a cedar sauna, workout room, children’s playroom, billiards, ping pong, squash and racquetball courts, seasonal basketball and tennis courts, playground, covered picnic area with propane BBQs, outdoor gas firepit, charcoal BBQ areas, walking paths, and 1,000+ feet of Nooksack Riverfront.

Cedar Suite is also dog friendly, so your pup can join the adventure. Up to 2 dogs are welcome with a nightly pet fee. Pets must remain leashed while on Snowater grounds.

Located near the border of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, this is an ideal basecamp for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, river walks, scenic drives, and quiet mountain escapes. Whether you are visiting for powder days, summer hikes, fall color, or a simple reset in the trees, Cedar Suite offers a warm and comfortable place to land.

    Helpful Mountain Notes:

This home is located in a rural mountain rainforest, where weather, wildlife, power, internet, and cell service can vary. Please come prepared for changing mountain conditions, especially in winter. Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before arrival, with a few smaller local stops available along Mt. Baker Highway. Restaurants are limited and may have seasonal hours, so we recommend bringing provisions.

WiFi is provided, but Snowater currently uses DSL service that may range around 4–9 Mbps depending on usage and local conditions. Internet and power interruptions can happen in the mountains and are outside our control.

Luxury Getaways is required to register all vehicles staying on Snowater property. Guests will be asked to provide vehicle color, make, model, and license plate number before arrival so parking permits can be prepared.

Pack-n-play and highchair are available upon request.

    Guest Access:

Guests have access to the whole condo plus Snowater’s resort amenities.

    The Neighborhood:

Snowater Resort is one of Glacier’s most loved mountain communities, tucked into 20 forested acres with 1,000 feet of glacier fed Nooksack River frontage. It offers the perfect mix of peaceful Northwest scenery and year round recreation, making it a favorite basecamp for Mt. Baker adventures.

Guests love the quiet, natural setting, with towering evergreens, river views, walking paths, and easy access to the scenic River Walk and nearby Horseshoe Bend Trail. After a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring the North Cascades, Snowater makes it easy to come back and relax.

The community features indoor pools, hot tubs, a sauna, fitness areas, game rooms, tennis and pickleball courts, sports courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, grassy playfields, and peaceful places to gather or unwind. Whether you are visiting for snow season, summer hikes, fall colors, or a quiet mountain escape, Snowater offers a true four-season Mt. Baker getaway.

Located near the town of Glacier and about 30 minutes from Mt. Baker Ski Area, Snowater gives guests the best of both worlds: a quiet resort style community surrounded by nature, with quick access to trails, rivers, restaurants, coffee, and mountain adventure.

    Other Things to Note:

    **Technology, Wi-Fi & Cell Service**

Snowater Condos currently have DSL internet, typically ranging between 1–5 Mbps depending on usage, weather, and service conditions. High speed fiber is expected in the future but is not currently available inside the condos.

Both Snowater clubhouses offer high speed Starlink internet, which can be a helpful option for guests who need stronger connectivity for remote work, video calls, streaming, or larger downloads.

The home includes free WiFi and a smart TV for streaming your own subscription channels. Cell service can be limited in Glacier and the surrounding mountain communities depending on your carrier. We recommend downloading driving directions, check in instructions, trail maps, and entertainment before arrival. Rural service interruptions are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for WiFi outages, speed, or service disruptions.

**Mountain Living, Wildlife, Weather & Local Area Notes**

This home is located in a lush mountain rainforest near the base of Mt. Baker, surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, wildlife, and changing mountain weather.

Because this is a rural mountain environment, we share the area with forest critters large and small, including ants, bats, mice, raccoons, bears, and bobcats. Please help protect the home and local wildlife by keeping doors closed, storing food indoors, and never leaving food, coolers, or garbage outside.

Mountain weather can change quickly. Please come prepared for rain, snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and changing road conditions. In winter, we strongly recommend a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, as roads and driveways can be challenging.

Power outages and regional service interruptions can happen due to storms, snow, wind, falling trees, or other mountain conditions. These situations are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for loss of power, internet, or weather-related conditions.

Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before heading up the mountain. Local markets and restaurants are limited and may have seasonal hours.

Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy the slower pace of mountain life.

Freakin perfect

First, the communication was stellar. I hadn’t paid attention to the check in instructions but I received a helpful text to see if I needed anything and I was able to get the info needed before it was a problem. The place was excellent, perfect really. Couldn’t have had a better stay in a more perfect place.

The Snowater is a nice place near Mt Baker to stay providing us some of the quickest access to the peak when the clouds went away long enough. We were able to get nice pictures of the peak this year!

Even though the unit is pet friendly there should be more done to remove the lingering odor left behind from pets. The screen door did not fully close so the main door could not be left open for ventilation. Numerous utensils were dirty in the drawer. The washer is not left open when not in use and made our clothes smell moldy after washing them. The instructions for the Wi-Fi (very weak) in the book were incorrect, this should be updated with the correct login and password. Convenient location for hiking in mt. Baker national forest.

Old and Smelly

Electrical outlets and switches were scary. All plugs were unplugged from outlets. ?? Never seen that before. Firewood supply low, had to request a bundle and kindling/ starter both days. Dimmer switch for ceiling lights in living room sparked when turned on. Living room rug smelled like dog. It snowed every night 5-10” and our steps leading 50’ up to our door were not shoveled nor was there a shovel for us to use. No directions on which of 3 plugs to use in 2 outlets. No directions on 3 remotes for TV, Roku DVD.

No Power / No Fun

Sadly, Glacier WA experienced a wind and rain storm a day or two before our scheduled arrival that knocked out power to all of Glacier including this resort community. The property manager and owner were good about notifying us in advance and provided an outage kit that included flashlights, lanterns, camp stoves, cooler & ice, firewood, etc. We spent one of our 3 scheduled nights here without power and made the best of it but without hot water and with uncertainty about when the power would be back on we decided to pull the plug (ha-ha) and make different accommodations. This was a challenge without power and internet in this remote area but we found a coffee shop and bakery nearby with wi-fi. The owner was generous and accommodating and the situation was in no way their fault. On a positive note, from what we could tell the unit is as described and noted in the VRBO description. We would love to have stayed under better circumstances.

Great house and a wonderful neighborhood

The house was so beautiful that I wasn't able to get enough of it. The fireplace did give some trouble but that's probably because of my naiveness with them. The neighborhood is awesome, and you see nature like you've never before.

Overall great experience until we left...

I gave this home a five star. We loved the cozy condo with the nice touches like doggie treats, complimentary wine, and coffee and tea. It was close to mt baker (30 min away) which was convenient for us. The only con I would say though was after we had checked out I got a text message from the owner saying “it looks like you burned the carpet” with a picture of a stain or burn tough to tell. We hadn’t used the fireplace or had fire at all during our entire stay so it was a bit off putting that the owner was accusing us of causing that mark on the carpet. I wouldn’t have handled the situation that way especially after we had explained that it wasn’t us a couple of times. Then they backed off and apologized. Other than that we enjoyed our stay...
