Whale Tale and Arcade

You’ll find all the amenities you crave in this beautiful home near the heart of Depoe Bay. Adult guests will love the ocean views and luxury appointments, but the kids may be more impressed by the two Arcade stations that give Whale Tale and Arcade its name!

Situated on 101 across from an access road to a walking trail overlooking a magical ocean inlet and ideal for whale-watching, the home is also walking distance to popular Pirate’s Coffee and delicious Tidal Raves Restaurant, plus the seawall, shops and harbor of charming Depoe Bay.

The light-filled, main-level great room includes a bumped-out dining room for views in all directions, a gorgeous modern kitchen with quartz counters, stainless steel appliances and a gas range, and an inlaid, stacked-rock gas fireplace and TV in the living room. Upstairs, three spacious bedrooms, including a master suite on the third floor, will delight your guests.

In the arcade room you’ll find two cabinets filled with nearly 2,000 games for your enjoyment, a Sega Genesis, Board Games and an additional TV for you to hook your own gaming system up to if you’d like! The garage features a Tesla Charger and standard EV Charger for your electric vehicle needs.

Your Depoe Bay location puts you in easy range of Lincoln City to the north and Newport to the south, with fantastic viewpoints, beaches and hiking in either direction. Don’t miss a whale-watching boat trip or fishing charter out of Depoe Bay, the “World’s Smallest Harbor.” If you’re lucky, Whale Tail and Arcade will live up to both parts of its name!

Nice home!

This home is beautiful and has lots of room. We could spread out but also be together. It’s within walking distance of some incredible views and the downtown shopping. We’d definitely stay here again!

We wanted to book it fir the whole weekend. However, the taxes and additional fees for one night cost more than the rental itself for one night. We probably will not be using booking sites if this is how it is now. Other than that, the house was very nice and clean. Other than a small "bed" that was set up in the master bedroom closet that looked like it was leftover from the last stay.

Super cute place. I loved the third floor. It includes a big bathtub, shower, walk in closet, king bed and a little work area. It was perfect for myself and my daughter's. They were on the second floor and we gathered together to cook and hang out on the first floor. If we had kids young enough to enjoy the arcade room what would have been a triple bonus.

This house is in the perfect central location . Just a couple hours in either direction will get you to astoria or the dunes in florence for some atv fun. Its only 7 min to walk from the house right down the 101 to the many fun shops and resturants in Depoe Bay. As a group of 2 couples this house was more than adequate for us. We could have invited a few more and still had plenty of room. To save money for fun stuff we cooked mist of our meals at the house. This kitchen had everythingbwe could of needed. Except spices , lol , bring your own. The host has made sure everything you need is there including extra toothbrushes, shavers and shaving cream, special fluffy towels for the hot tub, which we all enjoyed many nights. The game room was fun for the guys . All in all we would stay here again anytime.
