Beautiful Vibe and Cozy for 6

  • The beautiful and freshly remodeled home is right off the bypass of I80/235 in central Des Moines. 15 minutes from downtown. 20 minutes from the airport.

    I get to overlook beautiful sunsets with the downtown skyline. I have an easy commute to downtown either from the interstate or 2nd Ave.

    I am minutes from great dining, entertainment, live music, and good times. I like to keep my space inviting, clean, and ready for my guests to sit back relax and enjoy their home away or home for a moment.

    I do require a pet fee $12/night.

Perfect Location

Perfect location and just what we needed for the activities we had planned around Ankeny. We had trouble getting in but were able to contact host and it was solved quickly.

Not deal breakers

Inside was completely remodeled and vary nice, bed was comfortable, could use a memory foam pad, only real issue was bushes one side of driveway, badly need trimming, had to drive a little off of driveway to keep from scratching the side of my trunk.

BEST KITCHEN, good location, Great host

We were coming to town with the plan to cook multiple meals to stock our college kid's freezer with home cooking going into finals. THIS was the perfect place to do that. It isn't a huge kitchen, but it is amazingly complete. Lately we've stayed at places with brand new stove and fridge, but no coffee maker. Most places are sparse on pans or place settings. Not here!!! If happen to be interested in more than cutting boards, whisks, and measuring spoons, the living room was comfy and the tv easy to adapt to our favorite streaming. The bedrooms were welcoming and clean. Lots of closet and drawer space. Tables for your phone chargers. The shower is bright and has good elbow room. Parking is ample and away from the street. We did not notice excessive highway noise in the back bedroom.

Great Little House

Very nice house, fully equipped kitchen. Also a couch & TV area in basement not shown. Had a nice stay, close to stuff in city.

Great place!

The house was wonderful, the pictures don’t do it justice! It was incredibly well-stocked and had everything we needed. I had some trouble getting ahold of the host and there were towels still in the laundry basket when we got there, but past that it was very clean, very cozy, and a perfect place for our stay!

Rebekah was GREAT! Very responsive when I had a question before and during our stay. I had the check in information before I arrived and it was easy and seamless. The facility was very clean and well equipped compared to some I’ve stayed at. It was less than 10 minutes to get downtown so location was great. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you Rebekah for making this a good experience and for sharing your property with us.

Inconvenient typing code in everytime u enter the home. There were ants everywhere in the house, and it was loud in bedrooms from interstate traffic. Did not stay the days we paid bc of the ants

Poor communication

Check in was fine. Booked for 4 days. We had a family issue come up and needed to leave a day early and asked if it would be possible to be refunded for that day. We tried to communicate the issue to the owner three times; twice before we left and once after - absolutely no response.

Comfort in Iowa

Our first trip to the Des Moines area was both relaxing and pleasurable. And this comfortable and accommodating property which was conveniently located, helped make our first stay a truly memorable one. We had a little constructive criticism for the property manager and she was very cordial and accepting. Our next return to this area, which we definitely will return because we were very impressed, we would have no problem making our stay at this property.

Friendly Stay

We were skeptical of area at first. You can hear the Interstate traffic in the front bedroom, not really an issue for me. The interior is well done and comfortable. In the main bedroom, I had to retrieve something that had fallen under the dresser and there was quite a bit of dust. We did have a small issue with the TV. Messaged host and within minutes I had a response. It ended up being the antenna for the local stations. It just needed to be moved over! Saw the Dyson hand held vacuum and was going to just do a quick pickup before checking out in the morning and it was dead. Had a nice stay. Thank You for opening your home!

Home Away From Home

I was skeptical about this listing at first due to the lack of pictures and reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It's a lovely home, I will definitely stay here again when I'm In the area! It was a beautiful home and in the city but off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle.
