The Inn at Shady Lawn

10/10 Excellent

"This is a nice little hotel in a beautiful part of North Carolina. Friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. I would absolutely stay here again."

The Pineola

10/10 Excellent

"Love this spot how much fun if you had a family with you it was clean the food truck had excellent food convenient to where we were heading and actually I loved it. The only issue I had was the young lady at the bar was kind of not helpful when I asked her simple questions like how do I order my food otherwise I would highly recommend and highly stay here again. One of the best places we’ve been in the river was just to hop skipping away, and it was beautiful morning to be down by it."

Cozy Log Cabin With Hot Tub - Pet Friendly

10/10 Excellent

"Very clean and comfortable cabin. Great location just a short drive down the mountain to shopping and restaurants in Banner Elk and short drive up the mountain to Beech Mountain Resort and Land of Oz. The screened porch was very peaceful with views of the woods and wildlife. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. The hot tub temperature is turned down between guests to reduce evapoation, so remember to turn up the temperature at check-in if you want to enjoy the hot tub your first evening. The cabin does not have AC, so it did get a little warm in the warm afternoons. Fans are provided in each bedroom. Overall, a really nice place to stay!"

Pet-Friendly 3 Bedroom Home with Fireplace

8/10 Good

"Property was as pictured. This is an older home so you will have baseboard heat but you have a great fireplace. Host provided firewood . Only one shower . If you plan to cook prepare to bring everything you need as far as essentials. Plenty of pots and pans, new coffee maker, pot or single . Steps getting in are steep so it’s easier to enter through back deck into kitchen. Could use cushions on front porch furniture. There is a double rocker. I suggest bringing bottled water if you aren’t used to well water. Has a basement but it’s old, washer and dryer located down there. Overall for the price it does what it needs to do. Has a small yard if you bring a pet. You will see lots of deer. Location is great!"
