Great room and location

We arrived after check-in time but the manager was waiting to take us to our room and give us our welcome rum punch drinks. The room was neat and clean and had everything we wanted. The next morning we walked onto the spacious balcony and were greeted with a magnificent vista that included a view of Caribbean waves breaking on a rock formation, lush vegetation and a vista that went on for miles. The villa for our 6 person group was perfect - large and the decor was lovely. Kitchen was modern and well-equipped. Everything was very clean. Private pool is small. Restaurant dinner fare was delicious. Staff were helpful and many spoke English. Room refresh must be requested. Carrefore grocery is a short 6 minute drive (closed Sundays). Would absolutely stay again.

We arrived after a long day of travel and were greeted warmly right away. They had an english-speaking staff member who was very helpful and showed us to our bungalow. We had a private veranda with a beautiful view (once the sun came up the next day), a nice room with a mini fridge and a safe and an air conditioner. The room was cleaned daily. My husband and I celebrated Christmas and his 50th birthday at this wonderful hotel nestled just outside Ste. Anne, a quiet retreat from the noisier resorts. From there, it was easy to make day trips in our rental car (a necessity) around Grand-Terre and Basse-Terre. We had a very pleasant week at Habitation Du Compte. The restaurant is quite good. Chef Anthony prepared a gourmet Valentine's Day dinner. The hotel is clean and comfortable and it's just a short drive to some of the beautiful beaches on Guadeloupe. The nearby town of Sainte Rose nearby has several good restaurants as does Deshaies a further drive away.

Outdoor area of property has a beautiful art installation. The room was a good size, and the outdoor kitchen and dining area was intriguing. The main pool was under renovation, but the small personal pool which is allocated to each villa was adequate. A beach is under five minutes walk away. Parking is available for free. One hour by car via a wonderful lush mountain pass, les galets rouges is an oasis of calm and refinement on the caribbean sea, gorgeous sunset on waterfront nearby.

Wonderful stay at the Langley. Mother/adult daughter trip. We were in a sea view bungalow. Clean, comfortable, easy access to the beach, restaurant, and beachside bar. The included breakfast was excellent. Many choices! The dinner was a little pricy at 26€, but it was worth it. We ate there every night - by choice, as we had a car. We stayed at La Toubana in July 2017. The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant even provided dinner for us on our first night even though we arrived past closing due to a 7 hour flight delay. The amenities are beautiful with comfortable loungers at both the pool and beach. Food is excellent. Our room was a stunning two story condo type room up on the hill. Rooms clean with tiled floors, enough closet space and refrigerator & includes a safe. Lobby, bar, restaurant very nice and open to the sea. Nicely landscaped with well maintained pool, and private beach also well maintained (sand raked daily). Wide variety of choices at breakfast buffet, which is pretty much the same everyday - but so many choices you can have something different everyday. We spent 4 days at the beginning of our 10 day visit to Guadeloupe. The hotel and staff were great and it was a very relaxing way to start our trip. Hotel is lovely, staff and services are excellent, the included breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of items and eggs or crepes can be ordered as well. Beach is small but perfectly fine and well fit out with chaises, cushions, umbrellas, shade palms and a small restaurant for lunch or snacks. We highly recommend the Auberge.
